As an environmentalist, I will always be against AI until the environmental destruction it causes is stopped. It just uses too much energy and we just plain and simply don’t need it to transition to communism.

Two hilarious quotes from Fraud, Famine, and Fascism:
“Although Dalrymple admits ‘that there has been some question as to the existence and magnitude of the famine,’ he hastily discredits those whose reports beg to differ, declaring: ‘those who did not ‘see’ the famine may be divided into two groups: those who for one reason or another actually did not see it; and those who saw the famine but did not report it.’ Having established that he can count to two, Dalrymple has from the start …”
“One gets a more graphic sense of the unscientific nature of such statistical manipulation by projecting a hypothetical famine-genocide onto population trends in the province of Saskatchewan. … Citing such statistical ‘proof’, some might argue that the capitalists committed deliberate genocide against the population of Saskatchewan in the 1930s so as to suppress the militant resistance of prairie farmers and workers, whose lives were being ruined by economic depression. Suppression of the masses’ struggle - such as the RCMP attack on the Estevan strikers or the bloodshed inflicted on the unemployed Trekkers in Regina - could be cited, not to mention the mass eviction of poor tenants and farm foreclosures.”

I don’t think removing downvotes is a good idea either. You remember how everyone reacted when Youtube removed dislikes?

Still reading Fraud, Famine and Fascism. I loved this part: “In the subsequent House debate on July 25, 1934, the Archbishop of Canterbury … supported Lord Charnwood by claiming a hearsay figure of 5,000,000 deaths. Government members shot down the discussion, partly ‘on grounds that those who wanted to talk about famine in Ukraine were not noticeably eager to examine oppression in Germany or poverty in England’”.

As an environmentalist, eating meat is probably the most immoral thing I do. I eagerly look forward to the day where we don’t have to kill animals to eat meat.

I just recently started Fraud, Famines, and Fascism. Pretty interesting so far!

Apparently China and North Korea are “hostile states”.

And especially with the rise of data centers, like the 9 GW one being planned in Utah.

I was just about to comment this too. lol
I liked this from Fraud, Famine and Fascism: (Referring to someone visiting Ukraine in 1941) " ‘One can come across an ordinary village girl … during our talk we discover that the girl is well-versed in mathematics, physics, chemistry … People are well informed. One could discus any political or social theme with the peasants.’ One can only wonder what kind of 'genocide results in such cultural and educational advances."
