Good call. Let’s add the church too since they’re sitting on 4 billion while crying poverty. Recieve easily 12x as much as any other charitable organization and don’t do squat.

They state repeatedly that they want to bring us up to the level of our five eyes partners. But that includes the United States.
I suppose Canada has more to gain from such an alliance, since America could likely mop the floor with us in cybersecurity. If we left or they left they’d just look anyway.
I just don’t believe we can trust them as far as we can throw them.
But how do the other partners handle their responsibilities with these signals intelligence capabilities? Is it (c-22) truly equal to what they have there? If signalnand Proton etc are all freaking out about it is it worse than what they have in America and new Zealand, UK etc? They operate there still and they are all Five Eyes partners. America is losing all sorts of digital privacy rights etc along with virtually everything else right now. Why do they still operate there?
And we really want to still be sat at yet another table where what passes for American bulldog politicians bark and yap at us? We should be decoupling where ever possible and something this sensitive is definitely a candidate. They don’t even respect their own citizens why would they waste time respecting us. Literally its a toss up who I would trust less with this sort of partnership, Russia usa Israel or China. Might as well just hand it over to various billionaires directly
The streamer thing is whatever. Not a tax. Sounds fine to me. Bill c-22 is a whole big issue that more people need to talk about tho.

Pretty cool. The original is arguably better in this case
Virji is a beast

I hear they shoot poorly trained dogs in the us

Pretty well trod formula because its so goddamn effective. It’s why I’ve always figured genetic memory was bullshit; we’ve been blowing it for so long you’d think we’d jump at fascists and warlords like we do snakes and rats

All fines are fees for these fucks. Corporations just add a line while budgeting and carry on

You see that headline claiming the democrats messed up and forgot who drew the short straw to cross the aisle and vote against, so the guy who co authored the fucking proposal ended up having to vote against his own shit?
As if eternally losing by 1 vote wasn’t obvious enough they’re not even serious about hiding it anymore. Just a fucking a pageant

This is the most recent article I see. Seems they’re making parts payments to keep in the queue while reviewing. Should obviously have never signed up for 88 f 35s in the first place in my opinion. It was obvious then as it’s obvious now that America was going to be an incredibly adversarial partner, unworthy of trust.
Their recent actions make it glaringly obvious any purchase planes comes with severe risk.

If anything he should be mad at the Americans for emboldening China so much with that toddler walk of a presidential visit. As far as they’re concerned the only real obstacle would have been America. I don’t believe China is concerned what a Canadian Conservative MP has to say on the matter.
He’s in bed, or his superiors are, with the people making China’s attitude towards Taiwan, moving forward, possible. Furthermore I doubt they’re terribly concerned with what Canada at large as to say, either. Not truly.
It seems to me that China has been awfully patient and has enjoyed watching China’s Nation Builder, Trump, flounder and boast and give them everything they’ve dreamed of for long enough. “Taiwan? After all, why shouldn’t it be ours?”
For the record I stand with Taiwan. I’d rather not be misconstrued as saying China should be rewarded with Taiwan for good behavior or some crap

That’s a half step away from being a mean Beaverton headline

Sanewashing the indelible
Cultural stakeholders and data owners? They seem to be misunderstanding the role tech companies play in culture. This sounds like a grab like any other. So much of the language here is doublespeak I’m pretty sure some shitty fucking billionaire somewhere thinks Quebec needs to roll around in the mud a bit more so they can profit
