Oh I just realized you’re probably the one who posted about the Nevermore album This Godless Endeavor, right? Is this your .world alt? If so, welcome! :D I mean you’d’ve been welcomed either way lol. But still - hell yea, tidal bro!
This is like some kind of breakthrough.
Man, I applaud you for wading through all of that, with some awesome fruit to bear too! This is pretty damn good - and that’s saying something among all our other uploads lol.
And here’s the link to the album on Tidal: https://listen.tidal.com/album/425173063
I’ve been waiting for this one! Thanks for making a post about it!

You’d be smashed, and then some lol. It’d be one of those “drink to forget” kinds of games xD.
I haven’t heard anything from Forbidden in a long time, and even then, just the classics. This is kinda weird, but overall kinda good tbh! New drinking game: take a swig every time he says “divided by…” lmao.
I picked probably their worst one in retrospect lol. The vocals on this one start off kinda amateurish, and it’s definitely not fast enough. Maybe one day i’ll post something from a previous album.
Man I love how sounds and genres evolve, it’s just so fascinating, especially if you like the music that’s being made lol.
EDIT: Funny you commented on a post just today, Ready For Death just released three singles for their new album coming soon and they’re pretty fucking good so expect an upload tomorrow with one of em!
And the album art is like if a Don Bluth movie got really dark xD. It does seem to have a number of killer riffs through the album as well.
Right next to “yeah nah” for no and “nah yeah” for yes in their lexicon. xD
Happy Pride month!
Definitely one of my favorites. Discovering the discography of Gojira was a… spiritual experience lol.

Glad you enjoyed the music vid! Idk what is about music vids that, when I myself was growing up I always thought it was a sign the band is on its way to selling out. Like when Metallica was super popular, they never had a music video until their single One on their fourth album. And from there I always dismissed em. But after I graduated high school then entered the working world, music and life in general changed and with that change so did my attitudes towards a lot of stuff - music videos became a bit more positive for me.
So I’ve missed out on a lot of music videos from bands I love, and I’ll just slowly let myself discover them naturally, or in the case with this post, watch em as they come out! Btw those vids you linked were fantastic, and now I have a new band to follow in Gnome! Thanks for bringing this to my attention lol. If you haven’t checked out !doommetal@lemmy.world yet, I’ve posted a few sludge metal tracks here and there!
Silly me. Fixed, thanks xD
Lmao very fitting. My favorite heavy metal band of all time would have to be Judas Priest, from which I’ll post a top track of mine next. ;D
Myr@lemmy.worldto Thrash Metal@lemmy.world•Sabbat - Do Dark Horses Dream of Nightmares?English2·9 days agoI thought about posting Sabbat once upon a time, they are great, especially this album! Almost too great, they had to nerf themselves with that production lol. Great shit dude. 🤘
Hell yea, I’ll be uploading there as well! Likely not as frequently as here as well but still more than my other weekly uploads in certain other communities!
No fans for stuff like this, huh? Should Heavy Metal remain unstained by other sub-genres?
On the question of “politics” of the band members, I thoroughly researched them and came to the conclusion that the bassist here (King) was in Gorgoroth at the same time as founder/guitarist Infernus and vocalist/lyricist Gaahl was - both of which have said/done some sketchy shit. But that’s literally it.
