  • If you only need iTunes for your iPod, there is a music manager alternative on Linux, its a GNOME app but I dont know the Name

For old games Theres ScummVM, and if its the DRM that wont work you might as well just pirate it, since you own the games anyway

Also I meant about 80% of all users, who only use it to browse the web and use some simple things like image viewers and stuff. For those people, Linux would be more than enough, if not even better because most software is OSS, but most of them just don’t want to learn how a computer works, and instead just opt for the method I just described

  • Would mainstream users benefit from having Linux pre-installed on their laptops?

Installing Linux is the easiest part of switching to Linux. If Linux was 100% the same as Windows in terms of user experience, everyone would have switched to Linux by now

The problem is that people nowadays are just as tech incompetent as they were when the first computer came out. Instead of having a basic understanding of how to use a computer, they just memorize where do click in order to Start application x and do thing y. So the Moment you just slightly alter the workflow, they just lock up. Next time you are at a normie friends house, just try and put a link from their desktop into a folder with the same Name. I will bet my ass they will lock up the Moment the icon of that link has changed.

  • No experience in printing, but I guess its impossible to Print that Logo with that Kind of Detail in a timely manner without it looking like shit?

Also, everyone who ever heard about web design and hosting will know that such a picture is impossible to scale up and down, and also that picture will take up literal gigabytes since you can neither use normal PNGs because of the quality nor vector based art (they store the picture as mathematical equasions, so the PC has to render them, but it can be indefinitely made smaller and bigger without it becoming more pixely) because that sort of detail will just be impossible to render on grandmas smart TV from 2010, so you will have to store this picture as PNG in different formats as many times as you want to display that image

Well, but Isaak was believing that after he talked to Dr mercer, or am I wrong?

I mean, he brought the marker back to the planet, which should be what the marker wanted, so why were they still attacking him?

But also, from another perspective, they have set up this twist perfectly. I mean, first of all its pretty logical: everything all right --> marker removed --> everything going to shit, so everything all right <-- marker brought back <-- everything going to shit

This, the betrayal, and Dr mercer being one of the people studying the marker in the first place (and Isaak’s girlfriend actually being able to interact with things, and the necros attacking her) have really convinced me that bringing it back was the right thing to do, and the necros not attacking all of a sudden would have been way too obvious

Edit: Wait, is mercer the guy developing the invincible necromorphs, or is he the one helping you bring the marker?

  • OK then

    1. It is bad for the climate
    2. Its plagiarism
    3. We are literally putting our means of expressing ourselves into the hands of a few people. So once they just decide that cats are now not allowed, no one will be able to create memes about cats
    4. You are fueling a machine that google is selling to the genocide in Gaza.
    5. You will never be able to create new things. Since an AI only has relatively few nodes that are random (so it can output different things when given the same input) let’s say about 10% of your picture is actually new, and the rest plagiarised. You could just input that again and make it more random, but inputting something AI generated into an AI just makes it shit itself, it will not be „random” like an artist thinks about making a new way of expressing themselves”,but random as in „let’s just expose a drive to extreme radiation and see what the data looks like after 1000 bitflips
    6. The data collection. If a normal human collected that much data about me I could just sue them for stalking

  • Let me justremind y’all about how robots exist in the first place because human interfaces are just inefficient as fuck

The only reason slavery is so bespoke upon in the first place is because people discovered automation by machinery is way cheaper and more efficient than just using humanoid interfaces for everything. And yet still here we are, with a bunch of people trying to make the same inefficient design for some reason

    SystemD is really bloated tho

I’m not saying we should all be using runit, but with systemD making more and more services only work through their init system just creates more vendor lock in

Like, who needs a cronjob alternative that only works if you use SystemD, limiting your software to people using it and locking out everyone needing a less bloated init system like runit? And who needs a systemD calendar?
