  • Today, I am wearing the EDP version of Fantome’s Paimon (Hot sands, holy frankincense, sanctified myrrh, sun-bleached parchment, vanilla, black amber, coconut husk, a king’s golden crown). I’ve owned the oil version since the collection originally came out, but have decided to try more of the brand’s EDPs since rediscovering my EDP sample of Olwyn. There’s no real difference between the EDP or oil version of Paimon. It’s hot parchment and myrrh that slightly sweetens as it dries. It’s warm, dry, and subtle.

  • Today, I am wearing Solstice Scent’s Heart of the Night in EDP format (Moroccan Rose absolute, Bulgarian Rose absolute, Sugar, Chocolate, Vanilla, Edge of the Night Base). It’s a strong chocolate scent with some rosiness when first applied. On dry down, it’s a rosy musk smell. It’s a dark, smooth gourmand perfume with a heavy rose. It smells delicious! I also got my first PULP fragrance order. I’m letting them rest a bit, and then I’ll work on doing a review post. There’s like 11 scents, so it’ll be a while.

  • Today, I am wearing Fantome’s Lyudmila (Ruby red grapefruit, jasmine sambac, rich vanilla, hinoki, a drop of dark dragon’s blood, bitter orange, and a sprig of rosemary) in the oil format. I get dark red grapefruit with a sharp citrus smell when the perfume is wet. The sharp citrus note becomes more of a background smell after the perfume dries down and the jasmine note becomes stronger. I usually don’t like jasmine, but Fantome’s jasmine note really works well for me because it’s deep and smooth. There’s also a bitter edge to the perfume, but it’s not a prominent quality. Overall, I’d describe this perfume as a dark floral perfume that leans feminine.

  • Today, I’m wearing Osmofolia’s Olfactorium (pink pepper, coffee, paper, iso e super, milk, coumarin, sandalwood, marshmallow). I got this as a free sample with my summer order. As a coffee addict, I’m in love. Wet: I get the smell of coffee and paper printer. It’s warm and comforting. On the drydown, I get more of the milk and marshmallow notes like I added creamer to the coffee. This is a lovely gourmand perfume.

  • There’s so many manga that I wished had an ending, but Ultra Heaven is my answer. I read it probably about 10 years ago, and I still remember it from time to time. It was a really unique and trippy manga that I wish had an ending. I have no idea why it was cancelled though.

Another one that’s not officially cancelled is Vagabond, but I’m mentally prepared for it to have no ending since it hasn’t been continued in forever. From time to time, I’m just like “I wonder if it has an update?” The answer is always no.

  • Today, I am wearing Osmofolia’s** Nietzsche’s Lychees ** (Lychee, Coffee Flower, Mushrooms, Chocolate, dry sweetgrass, vetiver, black musk, osmanthus, and nagarmotha). Mmmm dirt~ Wet: I get a tart lychee with chocolate and vetiver. The lychee quickly goes away and I get left with a nice earthy scent with the dry grass smell becoming more prominent. This perfume is very earthy and warm. I’m a fan!

  • Today, I am wearing Osmofolia’s Shotgun (wild strawberries, cold metal, pink peonies, whipped cream, vanilla, white amber, white sandalwood). Wet: I immediately get a faint metal scent with a strawberry scent that reminds me of medicine. As it dries down the peonies start to smell stronger, but the strawberry note isn’t working for me. I usually like strawberry perfumes, but this wasn’t for me. I was hoping for a more metallic perfume, but the metal note disappeared quickly.

  • Today, I used up my last bit of Deconstructing Eden’s First Blush (Pink Freesias, sugared white violet petals, pale pink roses, pink lady apples, white lilies, bergamot, lily of the valley, pink mimosa and white musk). This perfume just smells pink. It’s sugary and kind of has a spicy kick to it. I can pick out the apple the most, and on a close up sniff I can smell the floral notes. Florals in EDP form work so much better on my skin than in oils for some reason.

  • I prefer ebooks because it’s more portable, and I can have a bunch of books on hand. Recently, I have a new habit of highlighting sentences that stick out to me or points that I want to remember. I would never do this with a physical book because I would feel like I’m messing up my book. I do buy a physical copy if it’s a book I love though. I absolutely cannot do audiobooks because I will tune them out and focus on other things. It’s in one ear and out the other. I find it easier to focus on written media, so I generally prefer to read. I’m not a podcast fan either.

  • I honestly don’t have a system. I tend to just pick perfumes based on whims and plans for the day. I don’t really pay attention to seasons, so I’ll be wearing a winter perfume in the summer. 😄 When I get new perfumes, I usually prioritize testing those for a full wear over wearing what I already have. I usually put on two a day depending on the perfume’s longevity. I don’t use all of my scents, and this year I’ve been trying to be better about that.
