Really cool project!

I did enjoy the pilot and I fully believe Colin that this was a huge effort to produce (and write!).

In comparison to the other actual play podcasts I listen to I think I was missing more engagement from the players. For this to work (for me), it must feel like the gang actually wants to play this game regularly together and not have it be something that happens to them/they purely have to perform for.

I’d happily trade quality of the production for a loser, more conversational vibe.

But overall, definitely the kind of content I‘d listen to!

I have mixed feelings towards SFA (as I have with any Star Trek show), but they really should give these new experimental shows some time to find their groove.

I still wonder what ENT would have become if it had gotten the full seven seasons …

I enjoyed this one. I didn’t mind the gore that much, but I could have done without the last shot of the Griffin …

I didn’t watch any of the promotional material for this episode, so I was surprised by the dino appearance!

I enjoyed this episode, even if it wasn’t the hardest/realistic sci-fi story.

One of my favourites! Brad Dourif as Lon Suder is fantastic and seeing Tim Russ stretching his acting muscles a little more than the usual dry Tuvok demands was great.

Man, I like Bones, he seems like a chill guy, but I have no idea if he’s good at his job, because we never seem him do anything.

When Khan gets broken out of his sleep pod and is in medical distress, Bones just sits there and waits. Not even scanning him or anything. Khan lives because he refuses to die, apparently.

He’s giving good advice, so I’m glad he’s around. But my head canon from now on is that Bones has no idea what he’s doing and is there by mistake.

Upvote because it fits the original better, but I’m protesting the Yar slander.

Listening to this episode, I remembered how I just never could warm up to Malcom Reed. I couldn’t stand him across the whole 4 seasons.

It’s not Keating’s fault, the performance is fine. It’s just the character that bums me out.

Was that Patton Oswalt as a Vulcan? Maybe he’s Sybok! And Rhys Darby looks like he could be playing Trelane.

From the new(ish) Star Trek shows I really liked Lower Decks and mostly liked Strange New Worlds and the last season of Picard (you can watch that season on its own, especially if you’ve watched TNG).

I have mixed feelings about Enterprise, but would recommend it as well. It’s only 5 seasons, so …

TV has also changed a lot since the TNG-era, so if you like the vibe of those shows, I’d recommend checking out other sci-fi shows from that time.

All of that is highly subjective of course.

I actually like the setup of the episode, meeting this group of off-world alien hunters on a planet in perpetual night and some shapeshifting action. What’s not to like?

I just can’t stand Archer as a captain (and Reed as an officer). And the actual story they go with doesn’t really deliver, imo.

This is conjecture as there are continuing anti-war protests in Israel by a number of different actors and groups, e.g.:

In my opinion, the way you phrase your comment crosses into antisemitic narratives as the comment implies (at least in my reading) that all the people protesting are anti Palestine. Please note I’m not saying that you are in any way antisemitic. It just irks me how that comment is phrased
