I like the idea of a space marine character and armor based on Isaac from the dead space series. Unitology and the Ishimura are much more appropriate as chaos [space marine] factions than an imperial-aligned chapter. Even more appropriate would be some sort of warp-spawn aligned group, for example a chapter that has been captured by enslavers.

People can host their own data / Personal Data Server, which is somewhere between self-hosting a mastodon instance and creating an account on someone else’s instance. The actual equivalent would be self-hosting your masto account separately from any instance (which is just not a thing with the current state of mastodon nor activity pub).

I don’t see it mentioned anywhere in this thread: OP, in case you aren’t aware, you can read the platform’s speed off of it’s hub, and use that to control a pump supplying the thrusters. Only one of the fuel/oxidizer duo needs limiting, so you only need a single pump to do this. Set the pump’s condition to [speed] < [your target speed], and your platform will hover around the target speed.

This will over fill the thrusters when stopped (notably when orbiting a planet) but in my experience as soon as the platform resumes travel it burns through the excess in a matter of seconds before returning into the regular “regime”.

Friendly PSA that efficiency modules also impact nutrient consumption on biochambers!

Can be very useful for setups that chronically starve themselves.

It’s good that the head of state says so publicly. I won’t exactly hold my breath for anything beyond this acknowledgement to happen, sadly.

We’re coming up on the 1-year anniversary of Macron dissolving the French Parliament, which is when he will be legally allowed to dissolve it again. The last time he hoped to bolster his party by capitalizing on the country’s reactance to the far-right surge in the (then-) recent European Parliament elections, but the left got their shit together and managed to form a coalition that arrived ahead of both the far-right and macron’s party. This time around he seems to be courting the moderate left a lot harder: a few weeks ago he announced that France could formally recognize a Palestinian State later this summer, last week he courted American Scientists fleeing the Trump Administration, and now this.

It stinks of opportunism, and I don’t trust him as far as I can throw him. Still, this is better than him not saying anything. It is a disgrace that France made Haiti trade their freedom on the basis of compensating for the market price of the former slaves, and has (to my knowledge) never given back a cent.

Now there’s a name I hadn’t heard in a long time.

As you might be able to tell, I play pretty conservatively. Though that might change once I’ve unlocked more.

I felt the same way about episode 6’s waning mythological feel, until I recently watched all 6 in the so-called “Machete” order (4 -> 5 ->1 -> 2 -> 3 -> 6). Ending with 6 right after having gone through the prequels ramped the myth feeling up to 11 for me in a very interesting way - there are so many parallels between 3 and 6 and at the same time 6 shines so much the brighter in contrast to 3. There’s a cyclical nature to the whole star wars narrative project as directed by George Lucas that I never noticed for my self until this rewatch, despite having seen all 6 movies over a dozen times each.

Especially the juxtaposition of Anakin’s confrontation of Windu and Palpatine, contrasted with Luke’s confrontation of Vader and Palps. It was always apparent that Luke’s decision to forfeit his life rather than killing his father was his way of breaking his family’s cycle (and symbolic of the rest of the Galaxy breaking free of the empire), but when I was just watching his father condemn the entire galaxy to fascism and evil on the off chance that his wife will be “saved” an hour or two earlier, it just hit different.
