  • Forgive me if I’m wrong but it sounds like you aren’t angry at the world, you’re angry at people. I’d be willing to bet you love the natural world, and hate people for denying that they’re a part of a cycle that we all share. For claiming godhood whilst piously masquerading. Burning Eden while God sleeps.

I wouldn’t blame you, if that’s the truth. There are many people who deserve to be hated. The issue with hate, though, is that it’s very toxic. Righteous hatred begets genuine, blind hatred. You won’t even realize that you’re hating things that don’t even really deserve to be hated, simply because they might be tangentially associated with things you justifiably hate. They may not even be associated, it could just be that it reminds you of something you hate — and thus you hate it.

I don’t know what the path out of this mess is for all of us, but it begins and ends with hate. We either learn to put aside the hate or it will immolate all of us from the inside out. This is our only real option. I’m sorry you’ve experienced it, I hope the experience changed you to understand that we’re all in this together. Even the people you hate.

  • It’s a very twisted thing about all of this, and it blurs the lines between right and wrong. I’m finally starting to understand why some people will genuinely try to argue that a bigot is actually a good person, the bigot just hasn’t ever been adversarial toward them. It’s like a mental block, they have to be hit over the head with the information — my cousin’s son is not such a good person, but he’s happened to do good things for my family so none of them see it. There was a point that I would have argued for him before I’d learned the kinds of things he’s done.

I’m sorry, I didn’t realize you actually had a somewhat personal connection to the man. I can understand your perspective, and I genuinely am sorry if I insulted you. I hope you understand that your experience does preclude your association with the blindly devoted.

I think that the motivation behind it is very simple: no one gives a shit about what I go through, why should I give a shit what you go through?

I’m not saying it’s right, but there is a twisted logic to it and there are certain societal factors at play that do make it seem true (like young boys being much more likely to be suspended or expelled from school).

Again, I’m not saying we should stop fighting for women’s rights — rights for one are rights for all. I’m just saying, understanding instead of trivializing will be what leads all of us out of this mess.

It feels like a DOOM movie. I was genuinely excited for the cutscenes because I thought something actually cool would happen, only to get sucked into to yet another railroad dragon section, even worse railroad mech section, or mission filled with ‘kill enemies to break shields’.

Idk, the ‘stand and fight’ gameplay stopped being fun when I realized that 80% of the guns were just functionally worthless and parry spam + impaler would solve all, not some, all of my problems. For 20 hours. Of basically the same mission objectives over and over and over.

I’m just gonna go back to playing Eternal if I want DOOM. ID fucked up DOOM 3, again (IMO).

Edit: I’ve beaten every DOOM on nightmare. If Eternal had ammo economy issues (which is a hill I will die on, even the newbies I got into Eternal didn’t struggle with ammo) then Dark Ages has an overabundance problem. Why would I ever switch weapons when I have the ammo economy of Eternal on crack and switching weapons puts my shield down? Why play a DOOM game if not for all the different weapons to kill demons with?

Edit used disclaimer incorrectly, should have said something like:

Noteworthy point: I’ve beaten every modern doom on nightmare.

This doom game is such a departure from the doom series that it is just a bad game.

The game can be beaten with a single gun and parry. Every single time I ‘struggled’ it was because I was playing the game to have fun (silly me) and wasn’t spamming shield. Every single encounter ended almost immediately once parry spam was activated.

The final boss literally did not touch me. This game was a really really bad joke.

Edit: I am genuinely convinced there is a fleet of shills portraying this game as good and a lot of old people influencing it. Like, they downgraded the game to a fucking boomer shooter. This game gave me destiny vibes, in that it was a very pretty cake only to find that it was filled with shit.

Edit 2: I forgot the most important part; there isn’t a single difficulty related achievement. I know, because I beat the game on nightmare.

  • These people are all about lying about how great they are when everyone knows they aren’t. It’s narcissism, or greed, or whatever you can assign to it.

'Can’t be my fault he’s so r******d. Must be the vaccines. God damnit I knew I shoulda protected MY BABY BOOOY!! ’

These people need to be victims, and I don’t mean that in the sense that bad things should happen to them. I mean that they personally feel the need to be victims, so they can use it as justification to lash out angrily.

I’m more inclined to believe that any attempt at tightening the sheet down will inevitably create holes at the corners.

Pretty sure there’s a reason fitted sheets exist. Like, imagine this advice for a t-shirt?

‘Just get a really big piece of cloth and kind wrap it around yourself a few times, then stick a pin in it’

To each their own but — no, I think I’ll stick to my shirt.
