Man i like Lorenz but I wish this genre of almost-there journalists would just slay the “authoritarianism” brainworm. It would benefit their analysis to such an incredible degree.

This lines up with my thinking. Thank you for clarifying!
I see! Thank you for your patience in responding <3
Oh yeah I am not arguing BE’s position, I don’t particularly care. I’m more asking for my own count if there are reasons to be critical of Cuba as an AES project (moreso than others), and how that would tie into being a Trot position etc.
Well ok, let me rephrase: Is support of Cuba not an ML position?
Is it trot to believe in Cuba as a bastion of socialism in the “west”?
Edit: Genuine question, asking in good faith here
I had no idea! Exciting!
Already played wotr (twice). What really impressed me about RT was more the mechanics. Writing and all was great too (better than wotr imo) but the mechanics are truly excellent
Finished Rogue Trader recently, shit goes so incredibly hard. Going back for my first real BG3 playthrough since release and while it’s still great, it REALLY highlights the strengths of Rogue Trader
This made me snort laugh
I’m sorry to keep NL-posting but there’s a reason he’s like the only youtuber/streamer with emotes on here. He’s simply the GOAT of being a nice well-rounded person who is also actually funny.
Do you have a source on the quadrillions part? I thought deep sea lil freaky dudes like that were all rare n stuff?
GOOD post
She doesn’t use paint people
Omg I had a Karius & Baktus audiobook, i legit thought i was the only living person who knew of it 💀
This is the only correct answer
Big disclaimer that I knew basically nothing about 40k prior to playing this beyond the surface level stuff you just sorta absorb by cultural osmosis.
However, the setting and writing is super cool so far. One interesting thing is that the obvious hypocrisy and fascism of the empire combined with the general “everything is turned to 11 at all times” of 40k does a really decent job of nipping a lot of potential lib writing in the bud. There’s simply no room for the “moral high road” libs love hand wringing over in most other cRPGs. There’s also some cathartic quality to the fact that the setting isn’t shy about the fact that the player as the Rogue Trader is directly responsible for untold amounts of innocent deaths and brutal oppression. The exploitative system is on full display, making your violently rebelling against it (inasmuch as you can) all the more satisfying.
Still rogue trader, still a great game. Super cool.
Thank you comrade!
Can you explain? Sounds interesting
