I have a lot of books left to read.
A good hang-up and slam was just poetic.

This pleases me.
I hope all of these price-gouging motherfuckers see their worst sales declines since 2020. Bastards.
$9,900,000 AFTER a 45% decline?
These motherfuckers.
Unfortunately all we get for POTUS candidates are character flaws these days.
First, no it isn’t.
Second, this is terrible messaging. Part of why Democrats lost so big and Trump broadened his coalition is that people aren’t stupid, and they’re sick and tired of the moronic finger wagging. Your message shouldn’t be “You deserve this,” because you need those votes. Your message should be (and also just happens to be correct): “You were lied to, but there’s an election next year, and if you vote for us we’ll put a stop to this.”
Relationships just don’t work like that. You can’t have your freedom AND be in a relationship.
He actually did lie repeatedly about tariffs. The Daily Show did a great segment on it.
He lied about the impact they’d have every time he was asked about it publicly during the campaign.
I don’t date either.
People are bastards and I like my peace. No woman is worth giving up what I’ve built.
Yeah, nope. That sounds utterly terrifying.
Your comment reminds me of the response we hear any time someone suggests raising the minimum wage, even though we can point to several areas in the country where raising the minimum wage has objectively worked to improve people’s lives. The knee-jerk argument is always a slippery slope fallacy.
If it’s the regulating of certain forms of speech, we already do that. Stolen valor is a good example.
What is it, exactly, about regulating revenge porn that is insane to you? Is it just that Trump is doing it?
This is settled law
Or, at least, we’d like to believe that. In the absence of meaningful opposition there doesn’t seem to be much substance to settled law.
I’ll read up on that, thank you, but after QAnon, the notion of speech online being actively monitored isn’t quite the boogeyman it would seem from my point of view. It’s the lack of any regulation that got us where we are today.
From what I’ve read, the worst critique that can be made here is that it’s an infringement on the First Amendment, but I’d argue that it’s clearly one that’s necessary. (And will become more necessary over time as video AI generators become more sophisticated.)
Admittedly, I’m no expert on constitutional law. I only know what I’m reading.
It’s honestly wild to me that the first federal anti-revenge porn law is going to originate from the Trump Administration and introduced by effing Rafael “Ted” Cruz.
Facts. DVD has prioritized his health his entire life, and had some luck and good fortune to supplement his effort. We should all be so lucky.
