I’m really fucking dumb and didn’t think of this from the perspective of the workers… Thanks for this comment, totally makes sense when you consider the employees.
I work customer service too, so extra dumb on my part.
To win elections, you need a nominee who can appeal to at least some of the people who voted for Trump.
‘A change from the status quo’: the voters who backed Trump and AOC
It’s not like he cared about the constituents of Carleton, either.
Not that I don’t think this is disgustingly dystopian, but I kinda fail to see why this would raise privacy concerns. There are security cameras everywhere in Loblaws, or any other big box store. What’s the difference between a camera on the ceiling and a camera on an employee’s neck, privacy-wise?
This is vexillologically offensive.
Dammit this song is gonna be in my head all day.
Love me some Damien Robitaille, the titular track off this album is also a banger.
(Saving people from having to go on Temu’s website)
I’m not blaming the NDP voters in this riding instead of the Liberal voters, I’m blaming them alongside the Lib voters.
Also, why the fuck would you vote NDP in a riding where the Greens actually have a chance (or vice versa)?
Their platforms have way more in common than they differ.
anarchists, tankies, fascists and authoritarians
Spot the odd one out!
I’ve definitely seen anarchists describe frustration with electoral politics, especially when people limit their political engagement to simply voting once every so many years. However, I’ve never seen one advocate against voting.
Anarchists are generally aware that, despite elections not being the thing that will overthrow the bourgeoisie, some parties result in less suffering for oppressed peoples than others.
As someone from Canada, I’d be so down for this. What a great deal for us.
Crabbuckit by k-os was played so much on the radio here back in the mid-2000s, yet I feel no one outside of Canada has ever heard it.
I’m curious, what attracted you to the Conservatives prior to the Maple-MAGA movement?
Fuck off with this bullshit. If Canada gets annexed, any hint of US democracy will already have been dead and buried.
During the live coverage yesterday, CBC was saying that the issue wasn’t affecting all users.
Good news, CBC just called that he lost his seat. Good fucking riddance, bye-bye PP!
Close To the Edge, what a great album. It was my go-to album for smoking weed as a teen. Note, I wasn’t a teen I’m the '70s, I was just one of those annoying “born in le wrong generation” adolescents.
