  • Despite common sense I bought The Hundred Line at launch, but thankfully it is indeed a very solid game. To the point I spent 25 hours playing it over 3 days. It’s more or less a Danganronpa game, so it might be too cringy for some people, but having gained enough tolerance to those things it’s wonderful. Probably better than DR, but it’s apples and oranges in some aspects.

One “problem” is that the game is really easy, and the whole SRPG part is mostly to enchance the story. It’s still really fun, I think that like with Kirby they intentionally wanted a game that anyone can approach. And though I’m just getting started it also does indeed appear to have 100 endings, I ended up on the romance route from my first set of decisions…

  • Nobody mentioned Yakuza? Any modern game in the series? (Edit: Ok, one guy did)

A guilty pleasure of mine is Majima Construction from Yakuza Kiwami 2, which is one if the few RTS I like. It’s unbalanced, and not even functioning properly, but it’s simple fun. I associate most RTS with commanding large squads of units and resource management, and a watered down version with few specific characters and one/two resources felt like a less overwhelming entry point into the genre.

See, that’s the thing, that’s bad. Generally the best solution is negotiation, dialogue and compromise rather than wasting people and resources of both sides. Unless the other side refuses to negotiate (fairly), which Putin does.

Putin is a kid refusing to talk with anyone because they don’t give their toys to him, when he could suck it up and agree for both of the kids to share their toys.

How is “unwilingness to engage” a good trait?

Both of these sound like qualities of a coward. You could at least say he’s somewhat cunning, and yet you phrased it like that. He doesn’t even smile when hit, he didn’t seem particularly enthusiastic when Ukraine ruined his idea of the invasions, unless I misunderstood.

  • Fire Emblem: New Mystery of the Emblem (the Japan only one)

I was going to try to blind ironman like FE11, on the first Hard difficulty setting, but while losing my healers in chapter 2 and 3x due to silly boss moving and ambush reinforcements was funny, losing two seemingly important characters in turn 2, because of a Thief you can’t kill in 1 turn without using a staff, was not. (They ended up not saying anything in the postbattle cutscene anyways, lol)

I’ll still try not to reset, as per usual in FE (I LIKE losing units and trying out replacements), but not if I lose out on recruitable characters because I didn’t figure out the puzzle solution for the first 3 turns. I did kill Matthis because he suicided into me, but fuck that guy.

  • This is more concerning the replies here, but in this discussion, saying “Trump did X thing, so that’s why it’s the voters fault” is precisely why Trump voters exist. You just flip it and say “Biden has been supporting genocide, that’s all you need to know” and that’s a sufficient argument for Trump voters.

The issue is the amount of fuckups each side had, and while Trump is pretty clearly in the lead (I mean, he’s straight up a felon) to us chronically online people, I don’t know about normies who only watch the news that didn’t get the message through clear enough (not American, so I don’t know), or just use Twitter (which is Musk’s propaganda now, btw) or even other media that just recommend you what you want to see. They probably see constant allegations against the Democrats too.

  • To clarify, I meant that I’m fine with multiple things not being 10/10 (I was thinking of Metaphor as a 9/10 across the board, assuming a 10/10 is something I say about things very rarely) as long as some one thing is, like just the ending or just gameplay. I’m not consisent with that though anyways, I thought that Dark Souls 1 really does have 10/10 world exploration early on, yet I don’t like it because of a lot of other problems. It’s all really just gut feelings in the end, it was the best way I could explain why Metaphor feels like it’s missing something.
