There seems to be confusion in the comments over facts cleared up in the body text.

The error was mislabeling, which is the most common error in food production. They made perfectly uncontaminated Prawn and Lobster Lasagna and then put the wrong label on it. It should have been caught by quality control at the factory but mistakes happen.

Just earlier this week we had to pull a couple cases of Italian Sausage at work because they were accidentally labeled with a sell by of “Mar 15” instead of “May 15”.

I run a West Marches server on Foundry that had a few dozen active players at it’s height. I ended up just renting a server on ForgeVTT, a cloud hosting service for Foundry. I believe they had a free option that’s good for more casual users but even I’m only paying like $5/mo.

Not on a national level. Again, everything is very local. The goal is that, at the very least, we can scrape off the leftist scum that floats to the top of the liberal movement.

I’m active in the 50501 scene locally. 50501 was a bunch of people on Reddit with (afaik) no irl organizing experience. Out of this has grown a mostly-grassroots organization of whatever people in a given local area declare themselves to be “50501 organizers” and plan the events on the Days of Action that are, as far as I know, decided on by the same group of redditors who started it. It’s all very local.

So in some areas, the protests will be organized by Indivisible, a Democrat-aligned group that also has a lot of local variation. Sometimes they’ll be organized by the DSA, or the PSL. Sometimes it will be wholly unassociated people.

It’s a broad coalition and the best way to seize the momentum is to be a part of it.

Anyone who is “into” Socialist politics has a 90% chance of being too far gone into sectarianism and book worship. It’s just how the world works. People with a highly developed ideology almost always have at least some parts that are wrong and will consider the most marginal culture-war issues to be complete dealbreakers for cooperation.

Stop caring about Leftists, they’re more trouble than they’re worth. Join the PSL. Work with real working-class movements in your city, and don’t get dragged into the struggle sessions of your local DSA and Food Not Bombs chapter. Work with Arab groups, Jewish Voice for Peace, work with the libs who are opposing pollution and police violence. If you find an issue that speaks to people and organize around it, the people will come. Recruit from the people, not terminally online Leftists.

I’m not trying to say that they’re bad people. I believe they’re trying their best. But speaking from personal experience with our local organizing (of which I am just a very small part), other “Leftists” basically do not do anything that has any real effect. The DSA is a thinly veiled dating club, the CPUSA has terminal security culture brain, the Anarchists don’t really do anything of their own volition because they have zero organization outside of polycules and rock bands. The only local group with anything close to the level of organization and professionalism as the PSL is the Palestinian Youth Movement.

This is only true insofar as the “American Left” is a part of the ruling coalition in the country and benefits from its imperialism (which it has, on and off, historically).

But according to Marxist-Leninist thought, as the contradictions inherent in Capitalism sharpen, the tools and oppression of Imperialism will be turned inwards. Many groups within America - especially Blacks - are already subject to much of the same oppression as our neocolonial subjects overseas.

And, of course, this is why social democracy is the moderate wing of Fascism - it exists to maintain and regulate Imperialism by giving the bare minimum concessions to a favored community.
