My main issue with this is that the way we train dogs is that we train them to be dependant on us. So yeah, she’s training him to come out of his shell, maybe, but if it works the same way a dog does he’ll only be loyal and listen to her. Especially because anyone else he meets won’t treat him like a dog and will expect him to behave like a person without the expectation of rewards which would probably make him more adverse to others
Of course, he’s a human being too so it won’t go down exactly like that. I’m just saying that from the very first premise the way we train dogs is by training them to be codependant
I get that the glib answer will be “so they can make money”
But what is the actual thought process they are pretending to go through here? Cause the experience of being a prompt engineer is not some sought after experience like how people pay to be movie PAs for free or work as an artist assistant.
A classic cult tactic tbh. Convince people that they can divine meaning from random nonsense and they’ll convince themselves that they are more enlightened and above those around them who don’t understand.
Idk, just one glimpse of the fediverse chick was enough to shatter my world.
Six more weeks of winter.
What’s crazy is that it’s perfect. Getting rid of autistic people is exactly the intellectual purging that fascists want when they get into power.
I know not every autistic person is “an intellectual” but many transgressive artists and radical leftist college professors are autistic.
I honestly don’t even know what to say lol. How do you think anyone forms an identity ever? We have - I was going to type decades - but centuries of case studies and writing about why people get roped into cults of personality and insane belief systems despite looking like lunatics from the outside.
What do you even think is happening to these people? Based on your previous reply the answer is “I have no idea” which should tell you you should look a little deeper into what’s happening.
I’ve honestly never encountered this artist and don’t know any of the drama around them.
Can I say her art style sucks just to win the prize for a bingo though?
Maybe they’re too far gone, but you’re talking about impressionable young boys, like 10-16. At those ages we as a society agree that a lot of all childrens personalities aren’t dictated by their own choices since they lack the life experiences and cognitive abilities to function as an adult. Instead they’re highly impressionable, influenced by their social sphere and nowadays their social media feeds.
So sure, maybe you could say they’re fucked from the jump, but understand that they are not taking as active of a role in who’s forming their thought processes like a 25 year old getting hooked on Tate is.
That’s… Their point? Either you misread what they said or you wrote your response wrong.
The absolute bonked-zonkers thing about this is that they’ve fully memory-holed that even if this guy was undeniably part of MS-13, the group they were going after and who they had authorized this extra-judicial violence against was tren de aragua. Members of MS-13 should still, under their initial claims, not be able to be deported without trial like this.
What about the very famous equivalent that happened like a year ago where someone won an art competition with an AI generated photo?
The common art keeps giving them long feathers on their arms but I would have assumed long feathers only evolved on flying birds and most of the feathers on the flightless dinosaurs would be pretty uniform.
We’re pretty sure now that they were more similar to birbs with proto feathers acting as fur. So many of them probably would be puff balls. Although it was also hotter back then.
Also lots of weeds are considered weeds because they are invasive and choke out the native/more delicate plants in the area.
This kind of shows that maybe protests aren’t working. If 100,000 people coming out isn’t noteworthy that’s because it’s easily dismissed as a small vocal minority. If less than 1% of the population come out to the streets on a sunny weekend that’s just a party. Obviously it’s not, but that’s a very easy dismissal of a protest that didn’t even disrupt a work day to try and make a point.
This reaction by this reporter is manufactured obviously but there’s truth in it. If there’s a protest every month that doesn’t rock the boat and doesn’t agitate for anything then it will just fade into the background.
When they say “raise the bar” they just want to make a hornier dating sim.
Men being gay: we sent him to jail but that wasn’t enough so we cut off his balls.
That’s kind of my point. What part of our whole understanding of how to train dogs involves training them to be more independent? I don’t really think there is any. At best you can point to like dog socialization training, but I don’t think that makes them more independent, that’s just training them to be social when their owners are around.
