Sure the talking points come from bad actors in the West but Russia are and have been quietly manipulating all the conversation around all of it. And yes they do it to conversations on the left and the right.

What’s so insidious about russia’s psiop over the last few decades is that all they’ve done is gently nudge the dial. They’ve sown distrust of traditional media and of democratic institutions, they’ve polarised discourse to that communities that mostly rubbed alongside one another reasonably well now are so idealogically opposed to each other that the middle ground has evaporated.

I must disagree with that point of your argument. In Nigeria for example, the age of consent for sexual intercourse is 11. Does that mean it would be morally acceptable for OPs dad, were they in Nigeria and not Romania, at 49 to have a sexual relationship with an 11 year old child?

Morality and legality are not the same thing.

In this instance however, if we take OPs dad at face value and it occurred naturally and there’s been no grooming or coersion or external pressure put on the girl then I agree that it’s between two consenting adults. But where does a 17 year old girl and a 49 year old man even meet to have any form of interaction, let alone one that’s evolved into a sexual relationship. I find it hard to believe there wasn’t some level of “courting” where the father has actively persued a relationship with this girl and that raises all sorts of other questions.

Ignoring the fact that the deal seems entirely one sided and allows US tech giants to snap up contracts across whole swathes of British institutions, despite not being able to find any reasons for things like LLMs in government departments, without any reciprocal benefits like lifting steel or car tariffs which are all still in place and were what starmer used as examples of how good the trade deal is.

Doing “deals” with trump is like grabbing a snake by the tail, sure you might look for a while like you have control but at any moment the snake can turn around and bite you. So now we’re stuck in a situation where we have to collectively suck trumps cock lest he decide to just say “50% tariffs for you bitches now”.

Hence the strong arm tactics by the home office to scare people into not doing things like showing foreign visitors our contempt for them, which has been a long standing tradition of the British people.
