Oh you’re right, I missed that. That’s awful. What caused it I wonder? Must’ve been really bad if that many people were hurt or killed.

Nah, with MtG I have a bunch of “rare” cards, because it just means they printed fewer in the set compared to the commons. But those can still be plentiful. If I wanted to spend $1.50 each on six copies I totally could, that’s not hard to afford.
But I like Commander, which is a singleton format, so I only need one copy each.
The actual rare $10k+ cards are either super old from the early days of the game or special numbered collectors’ prints.
Huh? The article doesn’t say what happened. How did these people die? It says some collapsed, but doesn’t explain why or how 50 others were injured.
Yeah I just went through my collection and noticed that (recently filled my first binder). Thanks.
Thanks! I probably should have picked up on that from the wildcard colors in Arena. But I never realized that it applied to the set symbols.
I discovered there’s also a printed C/U/R/M in the lower left of a card that tells you the rarity outright (maybe helpful for colorblind folks).
It’s a shame that computers can’t handle formatted text documents. Poor SOBs like this have no choice but to take a photo of a printout. Maybe someday our technology will improve.
How do you check the rarity? I have my inventory on deckbox.org but I don’t think it shows rarity. Is it worth exporting to another site?
Agreed, but on the other hand they’re not grifting efficiently if they spend resources on things that matter.
An extremely small one, but I would call it foundational.
Because he understands statistical analysis?
The problem is that you’re expecting basic competency here.
Those might be the best weapon for anyone minimally trained. They have good reach but aren’t super heavy. It’s hard to lose grip with both hands. And it’s obvious how they work and simple to execute – keep the sharp end away from yourself and close to your enemy.
This was written nearly 100 years before metric was adopted anywhere.
A lot of diehards like Unicomp for the typing feel, and I was very tempted since I used an IBM Model M for ages. But honestly they’re pretty ugly.
Now I run an older fullsize GMMK with Kailh switches (bronze) and it’s great. There are a zillion similar customizable KBs these days though.
That should be easy to replace.
And if not, maybe take the money you saved on a Windows licence and treat yourself to a better keyboard. It’s worth spending a bit on your primary input device, the thing you use the most.
My buddy (now married to a woman) has this on his basement wall for ages. It was the hangout spot for all our friends. So, it’s oddly nostalgic. Although it’s probably only been 2-3 years since he had people over there.
In fairness he had a bunch of great classic heavy metal posters and albums, including a poster of Iron Maiden with Bruce in his undies.
look, we can do this the easy way or the hard way.
Said exactly like a thug in a mob movie.
Ok they’ve definitely updated the article since I read it earlier today. The breakdown of how many men, women, boys, and girls were hurt (or worse) was not included before.
