I won’t buy a PS6 until 2028/9 for sure as I still feel like my base PS5 hasn’t been pushed to its limits at all.
Combine this to the fact that I’ll slowly switch to Steam Deck gaming and the (maybe) departure of physical games and I can say that I ain’t looking foward to a new generation of consoles coming out soon.
I think I enabked it, but it’s clearly not the same as the system from the old games.
I’d have loved turn based combat to remain in FF7 remake.
Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed the remake bit it doesn’t feel as tactical as the old one in my memory.
Really happy with OnlyOffice.
It connects to my kDrive account where all my documents are saved and works fine.
The iOS app is really useful for making small modifications or consulting documents.
Infomaniak is really good. I’ve been a kDrive and kMail (after Google Drive and Gmail) user for years and I’m really happy with the products.
I only wish kDrive was available as a Flatpak to make updating it easier.
I guess they should be talked about as much as Proton.
Oh I love Gnome too. It’s 95% perfect and I ain’t sure I can find better.

Still, at one point, I might try to reproduce what I love about Gnome (1 window per workspace and the ability to switch between them) in KDE.
This is really annoying.
I’m trying to use as little extensions as possible so I only use 4. 2 out of them haven’t upgraded to 48 yet and aren’t usable for now.
This is especially annoying because I’m trying to respect Gnomés philosophy with my extensions…
From what I’ve seen there is the Broken Road DLC but it doesn’t bring any new story.
I really enjoyed it even if the story was a bit bad in some parts (not sure but I remember the beginning being pretty bad). I’d be happy to play a second one if it happened to be developped.
I’m sure the work isn’t gonna be lost and someone might step up.
I know it’s easy to say as I’m doing nothing to help them, but I’m pretty optimistic work is still gonna get done.
Of course a Steam Deck would be better suited, but it’s great to see people pushing the limits of what can be done.
That’s how Linux is gonna be able to save M Macs once they don’t get MacOs updates.

Because it took me a few years to create my perfect Fedora workstation installation.
If one days it becomes bricked, I’d probably switch to an immitable distribution, but I’m sticking with workstation as long as it works.
Also there is no real upside to switching for me.

What you’re saying clearly makes sense and I hadn’t thought about the fact that the videogames market had grown so much.
Still I also think it’s important to take into account that 80$ in 1999 isn’t 80$ in 2025.
I’m clearly not rooting to get more expensive games, but I want everything to be taken into account.
Anyway, I ain’t gonna buy any Nintendo console when how little my kids have used the Switch compared with the Playstation.
Not that I know of.

The article was really interesting and made me appreciate everything Valve has brought to the Linux ecosystem.
It’s also why, once I’ll have a Steam Deck in a few months, I’ll probably buy my games on Steam instead of GOG even if game preservation is important to me.
450$ for a disk PS5 with a great game sounds like a really good deal.
I think a PS5 and Steam Deck is a great combo covering everything.
