The real problem is that there are only two sides.
The real problem is that there are only two sides.
Even apart from the terrible inhumanity and disregard for the law of these Gestapo people: They watched a business owner and taxpayer for two months and then put him in a high security prison? How incredibly expensive that is!
Human tragedies and absurd costs to US citizens just so MAGA crooks can profit through stakes in private prison companies and the like. It’s really unbelievable how criminal the MAGA administration is.
That sounds great! I wish you all the best and much success!
Yes, I also think that Trump and his MAGA people are doing long-lasting damage. But that’s also true: they and all the idiots who voted for them had it coming. I still feel sorry for the decent US citizens.
As a German, I’m most afraid that the AfD, a terrible party very similar to the MAGA-GOP, might come to power in our country at some point. Fortunately, this is somewhat unlikely, but if it happens, it will probably be the same for us.
In this matter, Europe can not only regain credibility with regard to our value system by granting refuge to politically persecuted US citizens. It is also a real chance for Europe, because I assume that many Americans who want to leave the country are rational people who can create a counterweight to the stupor that is unfortunately spreading like a disease here too.
Just yesterday I spoke to a physicist from the US who has been working at the university in my home town for four years. Unfortunately, his employment contract is temporary and will soon expire. He still doesn’t want to return to the States because he simply doesn’t see a future there. He will stay in Europe instead, which is a real gain for us.
Yes, the US may have been our military ally until recently, but on all other levels they actually have been hostile towards Europe for a long time.
Just as you say, you only ever hear in the media about what the Russians or the Chinese are doing that’s bad, but they always fail to mention that the USA is probably even worse. Just one example of many is that the NSA demonstrably spied on the former German Chancellor - and that was a long time ago. And still: some of our own politicians are now even considering to introduce Palantir (US surveillance software) in Europe. How this is possible is completely beyond me.
Yes, that is absolutely right. Active support for genocide is also a crime against humanity and must be prosecuted.
To finally do this at all levels is also absolutely in the interest of the voters, because the majority of them are of the opinion that Israel must of course be held accountable for all its terrible misdeeds. Despite all the one-sided reporting by the obviously partisan media, it is absolutely clear that Israel commits mass murder, completely disregards international law and constantly commits the worst war crimes. Yet these disgusting opportunists who are supposed to be our representatives simply disregard the will of the people - they must also be held personally accountable.
I am truly ashamed of the behavior of the German government. It is outrageous and simply inexplicable to me how almost all parties in Germany still cling to their unconditional support for the criminal regime in Israel.
It is simply absurd to even supply weapons to a government against some of whose highest representatives arrest warrants have long been issued by the International Criminal Court. Unlike the USA, which has never recognized this institution for obvious reasons, decisions of the International Criminal Court are binding for Germany. And yet: not a word of criticism of Israel, instead even active support for genocide. I can only explain this with massive corruption at the highest levels.
Germany’s historical responsibility is not to Israel, but to all persecuted groups. In this sense, it is precisely Germany’s responsibility to resolutely oppose Israel’s crimes. But no, our politicians continue to stand by the side of the most horrible monsters and even take the liberty of justifying this with the very historical responsibility they are mocking. It is disgusting.
As I said, as a German I am ashamed of Germany’s actions.
Has the manufacturer even calculated how much energy is needed for production and how long it will take for the corresponding CO2 emissions to be amortized?
We are living in strange times…
It’s about time.
The blatant blackmail with the tariffs is really just one of many things that are simply intolerable, such as the disgusting Nazi stuff, the harassment at the borders, the support for our enemies, the ongoing industrial espionage, the collection of citizens’ data, the unscrupulous exploitation of monopolies and so on and so forth.
In short, there are more than enough reasons to stop buying US products once and for all.
What now? Can’t she think of any more random bogeymen from the other camp that she can blame for whatever with some fantasy stories?
What a spineless coward this wretched pos is.
I hope all these disgusting brutes get what they deserve in the end.
Am besten nicht in Panik geraten und ein Handtuch einpacken.
Many thanks for the great explanation!
I’ve always wondered: What are these thick tires for? Offroad? Sand or ice? Isn’t it tiring to drive on them because of the high friction?
Anyone who supports or even tries to justify all this blatant injustice is an utter monster. Disgusting and barbaric!
Don’t buy any US products!
I for one will no longer support this morally rotten country - I don’t care what it costs.
Yes, that’s right, his absurd tariffs will really hit home soon - but certainly not in the way he imagines. The US citizens will have to pay the price.
Protest today.
Yes, the leader of the AfD parliamentary group in the Bundestag, Alice Weidel, doesn’t even live in Germany, but in Switzerland.
However, the AfD pursues a largely neoliberal economic policy and will therefore not do anything for the socially disadvantaged or for East Germany. But this fact is effectively disguised by the constant slogans “Foreigners are taking jobs away from Germans” and similar nonsense.
In this respect too, the AfD is quite similar to the MAGA people and, strangely enough, both are especially popular with the socially disadvantaged who vote against their own interests.
I think it is fundamentally good to use this opportunity as a chance to break up existing monopolies (especially with regard to software products). Trump merely provides a motivation for this - with his impossible behavior, he has created some awareness for this long-standing problem.
But yes, since the problem stems in fact from multinational corporations, the country in which these corporations have their headquarters does not necessarily play the decisive role - it should rather be about no longer buying products from these unscrupulous corporations.
