I just started playing MTG in real life about two months ago - solely commander (EDH). I got introduced to Tabletop Simulator and a dope module for MTG Commander, then I found a discord server that hosts games constantly. So I’m playing that this weekend.
I’m pretty sure you can get international ones like Airalo or Holafly that will work in China and also come without the need for a VPN, but if it’s not too much of an issue I would suggest just grabbing a China Telecom or China Mobile sim from the airport to use while you’re here.

I moved to a not-lapdog country. People still generally think America is great though (western media is insanely powerful).
I was in that mindset while living in America for almost my whole life, then I got out of America and am much happier for it. Not sure if you’re USian, but it might be worth looking into.

We’ve been here for about 3 months now, and we’re liking it a lot. We’re right off line 5 in an area with a lot of green spaces and some really good food all close by. We saw the pandas a little over a year ago when we came here as tourists for the first time, but we plan to go back again soon now that the weather is really cooling off.

For the revanced, I just keep going through the steps each time it doesn’t work. Uninstall revanced app, download main app, split into apk, re-patch, reinstall. I’ve had to do it about 3 times in the past month, but it always gets it back running again.
