  • This article could have been written as a warning to others about lying to Immigration officials and the possible repercussions but they just go straight to making this girl the poor victim.

The whole article can be summed up with, If you lie to ICE (FA) and they find out (FO) you’re going to have a bad time.

She had been travelling on her own, staying on homestays free of charge in exchange for doing household chores, drawing as she went. For Burke, 28, it was absolute freedom.

It’s not free of charge if you have to work in exchange for room and board. She was employed by the home owners and instead of cash she got a room.

Her whole trip was planned around working off her room and board with manual labor. She knew exactly what she was doing, she lied, she got caught.

  • Not OP but here’s one use case. I use FF as a PDF reader, it’s faster than Nitro and Adobe opening files and searching within. When I have a 600+ page Admin Guide open scrolling is prohibitive. When I do a text search FF puts location indicators in the scroll bar. A larger scrollbar is better visually and easier to interact with.

Also, what kind of psycho uses a touch screen on a desktop computer?

  • I’ll give them props for the scans, those are cool. But c’mon, this fanboi is comparing specs of a thunderbolt 4 pro cable to a USB 2 from 1996. Granted, not much changes except speed and capacity but those two things take up a big part of this op-ed.

The whole point, as I get it, is that those fancy cables are proprietary. The tech and circuitry embedded in the TB4 cables should be in the charger, phone, computer, etc. A cable should just be a cable.

  • My wife and I treated ourselves last year. She stands all the time. I think I’ve stood once in the time I’ve owned it. That said, I still feel it was worth it. I’m 6-1 if that means anything and I do adjust the height often as my posture changes. I think it’s helped with back pain quite a lot. One thing I didn’t expect was how little it takes to be out of alignment. Like, sometimes a 1/2 inch adjustment takes me from ugh this isn’t right to ahhh, perfect.

I’d buy one again if I had a do over.
