Not so sure about that, given that I’m pretty sure there’s a full sized Mercedes in the back row, and what to me looks like a Volvo in the middle slot, facing the camera.

You assume I’m ever “about in public”?
Rough guess works be 20cm diameter, so 16% of the force required.
And as opposed to the Magdebutger hemispheres, these objects don’t come with handles for good grip.
@FreeBeard separates evacuated Magdeburger hemispheres by hand.

Swedish. Of course, these all lack three letters. And I don’t think this tool counts special characters?
Netherlands also has constant eleventy mph winds that try to blow you back to where you started, so there’s that.
I still run a fairly old dell laptop with 4k screen, and fedora 41.
My experience is that i needed to set dpi, scaling, and font sizes separately for kde and gnome apps, Firefox is a story in itself, and one app that I quickly stopped using - partly because I could never get it to listen to dpi settings no matter what I did - well, I recently learned that it could be used on a 4k monitor if one first were to set the right environmental variable. Tough luck, I already went with a replacement app.
Right now I only have one app that needs further custom tweaking to be legible, but since that’s only running in the background anyway, I haven’t bothered. So in short, for most apps it’s possible to configure them, but it is a pain point.
Will not buy another 4k laptop.
Is anybody still using mailspring? I remember trying it back in '16 or '17 or so, liked it, but didn’t really feel the need for a standalone client at the time.
Now I’m looking forward to creating more email addresses, and multiple tabs of webmail are getting gradually less appealing. Sure, Thunderbird works…
There are two schools of thought:
Those who want as good life as possible, and Those who want to have a better life than everyone else, no matter what.
I hope I don’t duplicate any…

Because the police’s investigation was just published?
Played around with zen this afternoon - worried about what appears to be their stance of deferring to Firefox when it comes to privacy policy etc. (Also found what appears to be a weird glitch where the flatpak version crapped out when I tried to set up multiple profiles - appimage worked well.)
Installed waterfox instead. I have only used it for perhaps 2 hours so far, but I already feel like I like it better than default Firefox.
I think my main problem with these smaller browsers is that it’s more work for me as a user to keep tabs of what happens around these projects. If the browser I pick has a usage rate of 0.03% instead of 3%, I expect that only 1/100 as many eyes are going to keep up with what this browser (developer) is doing, meaning that I will be much, much less likely to hear about any fuckups from the devs.
I’d like to say I do it more often than this, but in practice 2-4 times in spring and 2-4 times in fall. Mostly because that’s when I’m adding a lot of additional material.
King Trump and President Musk, yes.
Lemmy, no. Reddit, no. Fediverse: there are a few people (less than a dozen) that I have met IRL (“know” may be a strong word) and also have a more or less strong presence in the fediverse, primarily Mastodon.
The phone is a moto hyper one. 4 or 5 years old, I fear the day i need to switch. Technically it has two sim cards slots. More precisely: one sim card slot and one slot that can be used either for sim or SD card. Since sd card is non-negotiable for me, it means one usable sim.
Audio jack yes, but not replaceable battery.
I haven’t tried vertical mouse. Maybe I ought…
No luck with the imgur link :( I’ll try again later
Phone with dual sim card slots and a sdcard, plus pop-out camera (my present phone has all of that except the second simcard, and I refuse to replace this phone!) ** Charging port on top ** Slightly thicker to fit a larger battery - and possibly slightly better optics for the main camera.
Computer mouse about 15% larger than the “large” mouses they presently sell.
Detachable 10-key that’s mirrored for easy left hand use.
In general, small electronic devices should have more than one button for interaction. It’s easier to remember 3 different buttons than 3 different Morse codes to achieve the three different functions.
I guess my knowledge of cars must have atrophied…
