Who keeps the $5m per wealthy immigrant? If it’s Trump himself, isn’t that very very illegal?
I think it’s just USA. Nowhere else has introduced new tariffs for stuff from Japan to my knowledge.
Edit: Another article that clarifies it is just the US.
Here is the full statement Nintendo sent GameSpot on April 4:
“Pre-orders for Nintendo Switch 2 in the U.S. will not start April 9, 2025 in order to assess the potential impact of tariffs and evolving market conditions. Nintendo will update timing at a later date. The launch date of June 5, 2025 is unchanged.”
In an Australian accent. “You can beat a good egg, but you can’t beat a good root”
It’s insane to think that the same two partys remain in control in the US. Yet they call it democracy.

I used CDiscount to buy a few items, and I found them good although I have heard that when customer support is needed, they are non existent. They had a flat rate shipping fee to my country (so I knew what the overall price would be) and it was possible to filter results when searching for something, by the sellers or products that would ship to any country, but that option has been removed since January and i have no idea how to contact them to find out if it will be coming back. Bad timing it seems, as they could’ve taken a few customers from amazon until that was removed.

Yet not one lesson was learned. If anything, they’ve made it worse. No accountability, monopolies in almost every sector, or vast majority ownerships.
When it’s all done and dusted, I hope it’s the beginning of the end for corporate capitalism as we know it. Allowing them to become that big and powerful through corruption that they literally think that they can control the world, is insane.
This is happening because of greed.
I call it a bell pepper. Paprika is a spice.
UK and Ireland paprika is pointless and flavourless.
A label, in all honesty. Historically they’re not left nor right nor middle. They can have ideologies of many, but too long to get into here. I was being pedantic because it’s a slight bug of mine when they are labelled and boxed like that. For example Nikolai Bukharin and Alexei Rykov (Bukharinists) and others like Joseph Stalin were not considered left but were communist.
I’m being a little pedantic here, but “far left (as in actually communist)” wasn’t a thing until these recent online debates and forming groups started putting labels on groups and putting them into boxes. Communists are not necessarily left, nor far left. It feels a bit weird to ‘put’ them anywhere. That said, I know nothing about hexbear or this little group on Lemmy and how they identify…
Affiliate links and coupons should be banned… Artificially inflating prices so that some users can add a code to get a discount. Huge in antics for years, but growing rapidly in Europe for the last 10.
My point was, as per OP, if we banned it now, there would still be a large portion claiming outrage. Either because they profit from it, or it effects a product they use or collect.
