I miss being able to read like I could in high school. Autistic burn out and something making my dyslexia worse has really fucked with me. I have audio books but it certainly takes longer and sometimes I can only concentrate on music.

(Bonus story. Cause people probably going to be like “you have a wife? How did you not know you were a lesbian??” Me and my wife are trans kind of in the opposite direction. I’m genderfluid butch. One day after she found out about herself. I was complaining about the guys in stardew and how all these farming Sims have better girls then guys. She paused and looked at me and said “babe…I think you might be a lesbian.” So yeah my wife had to tell me I was gay. I reflected and I realized she was right. So that is a fun thing to tell people)

Oh my god. When I was little we drove by a Hooters for the first time and I asked to go to the owl restaurant. Was a while before I knew why my parents were like “you don’t want to go to that one sweetie”.

We bought a laptop off someone used for 50$. It was shit but we wiped it and put Linux mint on it. It runs better then it did previously. However it still can’t do a whole lot at a time.

I’ve helped with a attempt at a gaming co-op. I helped some kids make games and interns. If you know how to do any coding and have a mind for it that’s a big chunk of the battle.

If you want to make a game I def recommend it. I’m not going to say it’s easy, but you don’t got to be out here making Silksong or something.

Let’s just say I’ve really enjoyed being here compared to other places online.

IRL I run into the opposite problem with my friend groups. Various journeys and learning in a very liberal area in a red state. It gets complicated sometimes. But we are getting there slowly. Even if I do have to clench my jaw so hard to not just plunge people into the deepend who clearly can’t handle it.

This one bi guy in our group would be great with theory and putting it in a practical use with rules and guidelines. But he’s still stuck in electorialism hell. Thankfully we are decently frank about what we want and protecting people so I’m not worried about that. But you can’t exactly walk up to someone and put Marx, Lenin, etc in front of someone with out setting off the minesweeper in the brain. So it’s taking some time and a lot of patience when I’m normally about as subtle as a bull in a china shop.

But I’m off the point and rambling now.

This is sadly the type of person I ran into a lot.
