You too? Bummer!
You too? Bummer!
Aww man, you made me cry a little bit for what could be.
Needs more Pooh.
That’s a pretty big advantage actually. Thanks!
Hey, even memes can lead to learning opportunities!
So it opens the file in your editor, since you have read access to it. Then saves your changes to a temp file. Then when you close the editor it does a sudo mv tmpfile readfile?
I checked this by checking the file ownership when running touch myself
. The file is owned by root. sudo nano myself
also creates a file owned by root. sudoedit myself
bitches at me not to run it in a writable directory.
sudoedit: myself: editing files in a writable directory is not permitted
So I ran it in a non-writable directory and the resulting file is still owned by root.
So is the advantage of sudoedit
preventing a possible escalation of privileges situation?
Why memorize a different command? I assume sudoedit
just looks up the system’s EDITOR environment variable and uses that. Is there any other benefit?
I did this with my garage door the other day. The thing squealed like crazy since we bought the house and I didn’t really know how to fix it. Got some White Lithium Grease and just sprayed it into all of the hinges, greased the top rail and tightened the chain. I just love that I don’t have to cringe every time I’m about to press the button to open the door.
Of you want to kill someone, just use a car and say it was an accident. All will be forgiven as long as you weren’t road raging or drinking beforehand.
I’m optimistic, we’re 1/4 through already.
There was a time when they used to at least try.
Wow, the art has really just been about doing the least amount of work lately, hasn’t it?
Too busy with protesting Tesla. 🙄
Wow that’s a great sci-fi summary for the show! Glad you liked it.
Geez, did I miss the Wil Wheaton episode? I think I’d remember that.
The Denise Crosby episode was really good. Walter Koenig came on as an expert one episode then he was a contestant the next episode so I think he really liked the show. Cirroc Lofton was alright and had a few trivia bits about his time on DS9 that was interesting, but I’d say it wasn’t great overall.
Anthony Rapp is just amazing. I think he talked more about Rent than Star Trek, but it was only then that I realized that I had seen him in both.
I have two huskies. If I don’t walk them they get destructive. I got them to help keep myself active and they’re doing their job.
Also took up Ultimate (frisbee). Such a great game, but so much running!
I wanted so badly to figure out what “polls” were after reading these comics when I was a kid. It’s really a great storyline.
Yeah, Tim states in the podcast that he’s been an Astronomer for 35 years! It’s weird to see that the “Next Generation” of Star Trek actors are getting up there now.
Aww, I’m disappointed in the Weinersmith for using just black and white when Dazzle camouflage included colours but they weren’t captured in B&W photography.
