Tesla cars are shoddily built pieces of shit liable to fall apart and malfunction in dangerous ways at inopportune moments. No, this is not a blog from 2012! It is also not a blog from 2015 or 2018 or 2022. It is not even a blog from two weeks ago about Tesla’s self-driving systems killing […]

Two data points, but my Tesla and my wife’s Tesla have been amazing. I know it’s not cool to like Tesla anymore but the cars themselves are fantastic in my experience.

Absolutely. I adore my Model Y. I’m never going back to a gas vehicle or a non-Tesla vehicle. Just checked my charge stats. I paid just over $500 Cdn charging for an entire year of driving. Amazing.

Much like ICE vehicles catching fire 10x more often then EVs, there are hundreds of thousands of recalls on structrual / body / components on the “legacy brands” that “know how to build them good”. General Motors has issued a recall for its brand-new 2024 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 1500, 2500, and 3500 pickup trucks due to mysteriously cracking roofs. Over 3000 models are affected by the recall, and GM has not issued an explanation for the roof concerns.

It’s really odd for Americans to shit on an American car company being on top isn’t it?

Could it have something to do with traditional car sales and gasoline suppliers feeling threatened and astroturfing to “fight back”? Bet your ass it is.
