I’ve been reading my nephew’s emails from his mission in Africa over the last couple of months. His latest email includes a paragraph about how they have essentially run out of food and there is no gas to cook the remaining food they do have left. I’m alarmed and upset by this, but I have a feeling my sister would brush it off if I expressed concern.

These are basics, COJCOLDS! If you can’t keep young people fed and sheltered, you have no business running a missionary program. This mission president, the area president and everybody up the ladder should be ashamed that missionaries are going hungry. What recourse do I have to make sure my nephew is eating? Or is it all some fool’s errand in the face of an org that’s incapable of admitting fault?
