These companies keep pushing out irrelevant “upgrades” to mice and charging 100usd+ for them. People have discovered the Chinese market for cheap and comparable quality mice but I have yet to see an open source design. I am publishing everything on github and going to go through the whole process of making my own mouse. The sensor from pixart has come a long ways but a mouse is just a packaging of new ICs and not much has been accomplished to improve the basics of a mouse since gaming has become mainstream. I am not improving the market either but I at least want to create some competition. Here is the initial design pcb design:

My next step will be to write the driver incrementally until I can achieve 4k (no dithering) wireless with flawless functionality. I also will create some cad files for 3 printing the base for this so it can use any top shell someone designs.
