Saying it outright like that makes me side-eye folks who express extreme concepts that way. Like when clueless people at bars claim that the won’t roofie someone out loud… I just want to say… "Thank you for doing the bare minimum to be an acceptable person! "
When I first heard Google’s “don’t be evil”, all I could think is a not-evil person doesn’t need to say this.
Its like normal people, by default, try not to be too evil.
