      It’s a significant improvement upon the first game. Update art, improved mechanics, better online multiplayer support and some new content. If you loved the first, you’ll love RORR.

      it’s really good

      it’s so polished and well made, art and music are some of the best in their style

      it has a bunch of new and refreshed items and characters, lots of secret stuff

      also the online multiplayer works really well, which was my biggest issue with the original (needing to use hamachi or whatever really wasn’t great)

    I like the game but I’m so bad at it :| it’s a noticeable increase of difficulty from RoR2

      It wouldn’t even remotely resemble the first game if it’s wasn’t 2D. If you want 3D Risk of Rain then there’s Risk of Rain 2.

      What were you expecting? This is for those that found RoR2 3D to be underwhelming (in that, for me it’s really overwhelming to play). RoRR brought all the features I liked in concept and applied it to the format I loved: pixel art 2D.

      I was kind of hoping for that as well. But I guess it would be less a remaster, more a remake in that sense.

      I don’t really think Risk of Rain Returns is a remake just looking at it. It’s still 2D after all.
