Speed doesn’t kill. Coming to a sudden stop is what gets you.
0 to 60 in a few seconds is fine.
60 to 0 in under one second is not fine.

Speed is the scalar analog to velocity, which is speed plus direction.
It is not the same as acceleration, for which there is no scalar equivalent.

Nearly every city I have been to has a race track, drag strip or some way to safely drive your car really fast.
If you want to drive really fast find a way to do it off the public roads ffs… Some farms close to me even host small races on their fields after harvesting, it’s a great day out and you can race your friends safely.
Had one of those Street Crashing idiots do their thing near my work last week. Guy decided to go nose-to-nose with a semi. By some miracle he lived (the semi was obeying street laws and going pretty slow, so that probably helped), but they had to pull his car out from under the semi’s nose and cut it apart to get him out. I wonder if he’ll ever walk again. His car looked like a crumpled piece of old newspaper.
