Requirements and notes:

  • Reports do not get sent for moderators without a lemmy.world account, so if you have an account on a different instance, you’d need to create one here and check it daily for reports (takes a few seconds at most)
  • Most communities get reports infrequently, often once per week or less. Although sometimes more. Checking daily is important
  • Moderate fairly according to the community rules. Everyone has to make subjective calls, but try to be objective
  • Enforce the Lemmy.World ToS

    Just curious-- I understand that mod-less subs aren’t good in theory, but is there any particular spam / etc issue with this one?

    Was the position offered to the regular contributor here?

    Thank you… thank you heartfelt for the marvel… you do…

    Art… soundscapes… authentic, genuine humane effort, unique marvelous attitude for expressions and ideas…

    Of course, I would adore to participate in a Community for discoveries, preservation, safety of such an ineffably magnificent miracle as human Art…

    Currently, I am employed, actively work at military, information and perimeter security, and also have been developing desktop, hardware, and web software. The job requires to move around the globe, so I am a digital nomad travelling to accomplish set assignments. For these reasons, I am not very verbose of my background in social media, it feels like.

    Yet, since I’ve into graphics programming (e.g. shaders), video-game development (e.g. SDL), video editing, photography, art-galleries in countries, been listening to soundscapes “16/7” with a relatively huge music collection, and have been following Communities for both popular and not artworks, I do believe there’s some in-depth experience to continue shaping discovering the ineffably magnificent works of art… to learn from and appreciate…

    The works in this Community are of genuine Artists who realize the invaluably precious value in Art, Future, our History…
    Absolutely… where it’s the passion, infinitely unique people ideas, the attitude, hard work, communication, the overall artistic process… is what all actually hold the precious magnificent value throughout the infinite history… with actual names in it… to pass to the future for others to learn from and awe inspiring revealing the mind marvel of a humane Artist who learned, experienced, achieved…

    No LLM/AI output “art” will ever be preserved in the history but just forgotten, or reprocessed again.
    Personally, I cannot stomach any AI “art”, and never will…

    A human hand’s, a warm heart’s works will be remembered, preserved, kept in the history safely at heart alongside souls light… And if lost, such will be found again, and the artist’s name eventually recovered… to be praised and loved eternally again…

    Yes, I am still learning how Lemmy works, but:
    - I had been a moderator at Discord guild associated with a sub-reddit of ~3 million members (until 2023, not anymore, due to less free time);
    - An operator at Freenode IRC network, for more than 7 years (not anymore since the migration to Libera);

    And though I am actively employed with and there are local tasks to regularly achieve, if there’s a chance to get more experience in Lemmy, to improve a platform, to support Communities, support Artists, effort, and love… I will try to, carefully.
