The French state does have a long history of absorbing protests like this, and Macron absolutely banks on that. That doesn’t make this inevitable, however. Now, i’m not French, i’m not in Paris seeing these protests with my own eyes, i do not nearly know enough about France to say if this is meaningfully different from something like the Yellow Vest protests. I am just speaking generally and i do not think what i’m saying here will apply this time. But i am definitely saying there can be a tipping point. If enough people in a largely diffuse, at its face non-revolutionary just blowing off steam protest have a more solidly revolutionary framework and you have a thing like this reaching a kind of critical mass, you may suddenyl find yourself in weeks were decades happen.
I am and I can confirm that it is significantly bigger than usual, we’ve rarely seen so many people and so much coordination. Media and government’s reactions were through the roof too, they’re talking about forbidding the biggest left party that they accuse of pushing people to revolt, nazi-style. We’re not sufficiently organised for a revolution but something not insignificant is happening

I’m very happy to hear that! Love and solidarity to the youth of France!
https://hexbear.net/comment/7543965 Look at this. The French government is terrified. This is absolutely different then yellow vests.
Wow, that sonds serious.
“Liberation News Networks” coming in to tell everyone that this won’t mean anything this late into the protests.
And based on what analysis? Vibes!
Who is this person anyways?
I misread this as “Liberal News Network” and then I realised I didn’t misread it at all.
