To start off I apologize If this shit should go in the doomer comm but honestly I thought It’d give more light on the situation here.

So If I didn’t make It more obvious to all the westerners on this site, I’m from Serbia. It’s election season this time around here. Next week on Sunday is election day and the two main contenders are current Serbian “”“Progressive”“” (neoliberal big tent) Party headed by Vučić and the reformist anarcho-liberal Student List, most people on the list being college intellectuals, celebrities and small businessmen.

It’s fucking bleak. The mass protests started due to the canopy (basically a concrete overhead roof-like covering) fell due to an engineering error and killing 15 people. It ended up with student protests, blockades and shutdowns of entire educational institutions. Though in the end It all got funneled into parliamentarian shit. Then again I saw It coming with fucking students shaking hands with EU officials in Strasbourg. Mind you the students here haven’t said jack shit about the current protests in France, Spain or Belgium.

Vučić and his party are basically the most spineless neoliberal snakes and he deserves the chud face he was born with. Basically a nationalist party like United Russia but that bend the knee If money is shown. Staying the course when It comes to privatization and extortion of state assets that began since the 2000 color revolution. They’re nothing more than opportunists with their own blackshirts too If you dare protest against them.

Criticizing either side gives you looks from certain people lol. It’s such childish understanding of politics that If we simply elected the right people, corruption will be gone! Not to mention that every single leftist org did a shit job at agitating, either tailing or condemning the mass protests entirely. I understand that mass protests and/or movements don’t always mean revolutionary situation, but none of these orgs are serious or organized to pull something big off. I left mine due to a plethora of reasons, mostly being actions that made no sense and were LARP-ing at best, bigotry and international associations with the ACP. The rest are demsucc’s, trot cults, anarchists that tail and are somehow pro-Ukraine and are pretty vocal about It and boomer Tito nostalgia parties. The communist movement here is under less repression but hasn’t achieved much since the early 90s. Back in the 1930s the CPY was repressed to hell and back yet achieved more then today I swear, the 90s undid so much of our communist legacy and It’s just depressing.

I was thinking, again thinking, of striking out on my own by starting an org myself. But that’ll have to wait as I don’t feel well read nor do I think I got enough experience in praxis stuff, though I did organize a short-lived cadre education club for my org and online propaganda (worst thing ever). Though It would probably be some underground thing for a while with a handful of people I trust. There is a mutual aid group that’s not so far from me so I might join up with them. I’ve been touching grass way more recently and talking to people irl and It’s been doing wonders for my mental health. So I hope I can do better eventually. I’d actually appreciate advice from comrades organizing wise since I’m kinda of a socially anxious person.
