this will never happen in America. Someone has to pay for it and the corporations will never agree. It’s there main tool for disciplining labor, Do what we tell you or you lose your job and your health insurance.
When told such a single-payer model would eliminate private insurance plans, that overall support dropped to 52% — still well ahead of the 37% favorability seen in the 2020 survey.
What did you think this meant? Do you actually enjoy Blue Cross?
I have a blue cross insurance plan. I pay nothing and it covers a lot. It is quite amazing. I understand my situation is not the norm, but that doesn’t change anything.
Medicare for all would likely be some kind of downgrade for me but I would gladly make the switch if it meant healthcare for all.
I’m very fortunate, but there should not be disparity in availability of healthcare.
I’m effectively with you in that, by comparison, my current healthcare plan is very good versus the cost. But yes, I’d 100% dump it for universal healthcare coverage. I always use Blue Cross as the stand-in because I had a hell of a bad time with them for many years. Glad it’s working for you, and I hope it continues to.
