To all you spicy fiends out there. If I put teaspoon of reaper paste with a 1/4 cup of yogurt and a sprinkle of bay seasoning do you think that will taste alright as a dipping sauce for spicy chicken? Not after heat, more tasty. Obviously I ain’t gonna sample it.
Yeah I know. It’s gonna be hot for normal people but not for him. I’ve never used it in cooking but I’d like to surprise him with a half decent dipping sauce. I know the yogurt is gonna kill much of the heat. I wanna know if it would still taste alright. The tricky bit is not being able to sample it myself to adjust ingredients.
One idea could be to make the dipping sauce w/o the reaper paste so you can test it then add it at the end. They don’t really have much ‘flavour’… it’s all PAIN.
My go to atm is yogurt, lemon, lotta garlic, spices (whatever is on hand really, usually pepper cumin, coriander etc.). Really simple. The chilli sauce I’m using is probably 1/5th a reaper though 💀
That’s a good idea. I’ve made some yogurt concoction for my coleslaw similar to what you’ve written so I might just put some aside and add paste to it.
I marinated wings in yogurt, garlic, thai chilli powder, pepper, paprika and thyme. Then I’m gonna coat them in nacho cheese doritos and more pepper. Then I’m gonna bake them.
They were so good. The flavours were all there. The crumb was extremely delicate to flip so I think next time I’ll pop them back into the fridge like you would a traditional crumb. Maybe give them a quick shallow fry then bake. 4/5 yum yums.

I have never tried reaper paste, but tell us about the “spicy chicken” .
