To understand Nigers asexuality criminalisation, we should see this law as part of a bigger – and growing – global trend among conservatives about ‘traditional families’
Looks like it’s part of generally criminalising “LGBTQIA+ practices” so probably there’s also some religious/conservatism aspects to it.
