It looks like it’s a fun track to drive, however that doesn’t always translate to being fun to watch. It’s similar to Monaco, very tense, close wall action, but with no overtakes it’s so bland as a fan.
I’ve played it in Assetto Corsa, and it was quite okay. But it was considerably more fun to watch the actual driving, they’ve been way more aggressive than me and still somehow nobody binned it in T17. The moments of close driving were pretty intense. I’m guessing that the structure of the streets breaks up the flow, with the sharp corners and chicanes — even though those are the exact things that are the overtaking places on other tracks, and where the close action happened here.
At least Monaco is pretty to look at and has prestige.
I dont think drivers enjoy driving Monaco. Theyd love to win it though
They always say they do, partially because of the prestige but partly because it’s such a challenge
I wonder if they built it with the idea of canceling Monaco in mind. “Well Monaco will definitely be canceled soon, so let’s make a street circuit that emulates the best aspects of it and isn’t in the most expensive city in the world.” It was a good idea, except we now have both of them for the foreseeable future.
