    There is plenty of high profile legislation in the EU, the US absolutely hates, if the US had had its say there would be no Gallileo, at all, there will be no Iris2, etc. The US also hates many regulatory decisions by the EU and it hates most rulings by the EU judicative.

    None of those things should be the case if the EU were as dominated by the US as you say.

    What is of course correct is that the US does have influence, so does China and other major blocks.

      I dare to say that EU’s growing independence from the US is part of the hostile approach the US has walked for the past decade or so.

      It didn’t start with Trump and didn’t stop under Biden.

        No, that is merely accelerating it. Much of what I was talking about was already there from day 1 of European unification or along the way.
