    Ah, I think I mixed up my details, then. Thanks for the correction. Yes, I think it’s because all the effects, etc., were done on video that makes remastering a very expensive project, a project which Paramount learned does not pay for itself, though Paramount’s greed has definitely pushed more than one person into piracy. DS9 is selling for close to $100 for the DVD set on Amazon right now, so I doubt they’d be able to set a price for a remaster that would sell even if physical media weren’t a shrinking market.
