Quote me the line where i defend your abusers.

I know how bad some bibles are, you don’t need to tell me yaweh is the evident bad guy.

I know how bad some bibles are, you don’t need to tell me yaweh is the evident bad guy.

But I do need to tell you that christ was yahweh, and that christians believe Jesus was christ.

This is why it is bad from the ground up.

And i need to tell you that one of the 4 gospels that are included in the latest testament specifically says Jesus was the biological son of Joseph and Maria.

The interpretation i have heard about Jesus being god is that the chism was specifically to denounce the god of genesis. Jesus was human and thus god is humans getting to choose their own destiny and studying morality. The romans added the old crap back in but the new philosophy remained.

The gnostic literature very specifically denounced jaweh as the monster and jesus as the a human of knowledge.

And i need to tell you that one of the 4 gospels that are included in the latest testament specifically says Jesus was the biological son of Joseph and Maria.

          Point being?

The lineage of Jesus is described twice, once in Mark and once in Luke. They contradict each other; one claims Joseph is the son of Jacob, one claims Joseph is the son of Heli. Yet both lead back up to Abraham.

Jesus was human and thus god is humans getting to choose their own destiny and studying morality.

That’s not what Jesus said in the gospels. He very explicitly commanded submission, obedience, I am the only way, etc.

The romans added the old crap back in but the new philosophy remained.

The bible remains a book of deadly bullshit that many people believe.

The gnostic literature very specifically denounced jaweh as the monster and jesus as the a human of knowledge.

Which gnostic literature? All of it? It’s a very broad category of beliefs, yet still insists on magical thinking in seemingly every incarnation.

Jesus himself claimed yahweh was the father to whom we must all submit. Even if one does not believe Jesus was christ, Jesus did. He was a delusional narcissist, a cult leader who got himself and others killed.

The abrahamic faiths are death cults. Christianity is explicit about it. It’s baked into the concept of “christ”.

Magical thinking is deadly. Superstition is harmful.

Ok, this one came out of left field. Are we flipping the script? interesting.

Gnosiscism does have many branches that are still believing in magic, but they dont all and i dont think they where originally if i interpret the older literature. There is some evidence that they orginate from Plato, doctorine is the cave. Know what i mean?

But more to the point how can you see that this is many branches and ask which one but not see how i have repeatedly asked the same question every single time you mention the bible because truly all religions are like that.

And gnosticism is still a branch of christian Jesus-character philosophy

Jesus does not make claims to be the son of god in every text, most of the texts i grew up with in a catholic school did not mention god.

Sure some did and they helped me lots in understanding that yaweh is the egomaniac cancer and jesus the example of moral acts (still on occasion misused by bad interpretations)

Your referring to the interpretation of christ as dying to take away all sin? But the one time we where told that one it came with a warning that its figurative and does not mean we cant do evil. I do not think anyone sensible still takes that one literal

Ok, this one came out of left field. Are we flipping the script? interesting.

You’re the one deflecting. I criticized christianity for being a death cult. You brought up gnosticism as if it’s somehow better or somehow erases christianity.

Gnosiscism does have many branches that are still believing in magic, but they dont all and i dont think they where originally if i interpret the older literature.

Why can’t we focus on reality instead of scripture?

There is some evidence that they orginate from Plato, doctorine is the cave. Know what i mean?

Then write about that instead of magic, and leave christ out of it completely.

But more to the point how can you see that this is many branches and ask which one but not see how i have repeatedly asked the same question every single time you mention the bible because truly all religions are like that.

Because the many branches of christianity are all based on the same shitty story about an abuser god sending his son to die to save us from his own punishments. IT IS A DEATH CULT.

And gnosticism is still a branch of christian Jesus-character philosophy

              If it’s christian, it’s a death cult.

If it respects the teachings of Jesus, it’s a death cult, because Jesus taught that he is the son of god, that he is christ.

Why are you ignoring what Jesus died for?

Jesus does not make claims to be the son of god in every text, most of the texts i grew up with in a catholic school did not mention god.

The Nicene creed explicitly states Jesus is the son of god.

What do you reckon the pope meant when he said “Jesus reveals the Father to us by involving us in his own relationship with Him”?

Sure some did and they helped me lots in understanding that yaweh is the egomaniac cancer and jesus the example of moral acts (still on occasion misused by bad interpretations)

Someone should’ve told Jesus. Lying is not moral, please stop sanewashing his claims.

Your referring to the interpretation of christ as dying to take away all sin?

The one most christians believe, yes.

But the one time we where told that one it came with a warning that its figurative and does not mean we cant do evil.

              The one time? LOL.

God was commanding sacrifices since Genesis, including human ones:

He said, “Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you.”

Is this a figurative animal sacrifice? God loves the smell:

Then Noah built an altar to the Lord and took some of every clean animal and some of every clean bird and offered burnt offerings on the altar. And when the Lord smelled the pleasing aroma, the Lord said in his heart, “I will never again curse the ground because of man, for the intention of man’s heart is evil from his youth

Why did he make us evil in the first place? That’s what we need “salvation” from, the “sinful nature” he created us with.

              Leviticus 17:

For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it for you on the altar to make atonement for your souls, for it is the blood that makes atonement by the life.

              Numbers 29:

It is a day for you to blow the trumpets, and you shall offer a burnt offering, for a pleasing aroma to the Lord: one bull from the herd, one ram, seven male lambs a year old without blemish; also their grain offering of fine flour mixed with oil, three tenths of an ephah for the bull, two tenths for the ram, and one tenth for each of the seven lambs; with one male goat for a sin offering, to make atonement for you

              Now let’s get to Jesus.

              Hebrews 9:

Indeed, under the law almost everything is purified with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins.

              Matthew 26:

For this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.

              John 1:

The next day he saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!

As previously mentioned, 1 John 2:

He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world

              Romans 5:

More than that, we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.

              Ephesians 1:

In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace

              Colossians 1:

For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

              Revelation 1:

And from Jesus Christ the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of kings on earth. To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood

I do not think anyone sensible still takes that one literal

Please stop pretending they don’t exist. I’m not saying they’re sensible. I’m saying there are more death cultists than you realize, and you enable them by pretending their book of bullshit isn’t a huge problem.

Can you acknowledge each of these points?

A: yahweh is a death god

B: the bible describes yahweh as loving

C: the bible is perhaps the most widely read book of all time

D: most christians think reading the bible is important

E: our experiences, including what we read, shape our beliefs

F: our beliefs drive our actions

If you can follow that line of logic, you can understand why my parents are getting away with child abuse. There are entire communities that revere the bible, and I had no means of escape.

This same abuse and worse is still happening to others because people like you refuse to hold them accountable. You think the poison is not a problem as long as no one drinks it, but the poison itself contains instructions that say “drink me and shove me down everyone else’s throats, too.”

Repeat after me: christianity is a death cult.

              Magical thinking is killing us.

If you have questions, ask. I can help you understand if you stop denying reality.

Can you acknowledge each of these points?

Sure, no problem just dont get upset when my answer don’t match your beliefs.

A: yahweh is a death god

As an insult absolutely, in some interpretations surely.

B: the bible describes yahweh as loving

No, I never got that vibe from any of them. I have heard people claim it though but then used the bible to see how clearly that is not the case. I don’t think those people read the same version.

C: the bible is perhaps the most widely read book of all time

No, because there is no a singular book that is the entire bible, biblical literature as a collection i can believe though but dont know much about asian literature to compare.

D: most christians think reading the bible is important

No because they cant even agree wich text is and is not the bible. They never did

E: our experiences, including what we read, shape our beliefs

Of course. Thats why critical thinking skills are so important.

F: our beliefs drive our actions

For some that may be the case but agnostic beliefs don’t always work that way.

As an insult absolutely, in some interpretations surely.

In every reasonable interpretation. If god exists and is sufficiently powerful, every death is his choice. If god is not powerful enough for us to know he is there, we don’t assume he is.

Theism is unreasonable. It’s a form of magical thinking.

In the christian bible, which I’ll remind you most christians consider to be important, he explicitly demands human sacrifice and commits murders and genocides.

No, I never got that vibe from any of them. I have heard people claim it though but then used the bible to see how clearly that is not the case. I don’t think those people read the same version.

                  It’s explicit.

What was that John 3:16 verse again?

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

                  Romans 5:

But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

                  Zephaniah 3:

The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.

                  1 John 3:

See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him.

                  Psalm 86:

But you, O Lord, are a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness.

Laughable, considering god’s behavior in the old testament. But the book says it’s love, and the book says it’s true, so stupid people like my parents believe.

                  Deuteronomy 7:

Know therefore that the Lord your God is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments, to a thousand generations

We get a twofer in Ephesians 2:

But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ

                  And in Jeremiah 31:

The Lord appeared to him from far away. I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have continued my faithfulness to you.

                  Etc.

No, because there is no a singular book that is the entire bible, biblical literature as a collection i can believe though but dont know much about asian literature to compare.

It’s the one called “the christian bible”.

                  https://www.guinnessworldrecords.com/world-records/best-selling-book-of-non-fiction

No because they cant even agree wich text is and is not the bible. They never did

You forgot the research I cited before.

A majority of U.S. Christians say the Bible is extremely important or very important in their lives

                  https://www.pewresearch.org/religion/2025/02/26/importance-of-religion-and-the-bible/

I acknowledge that it also says:

The vast majority of members of historically Black Protestant denominations, evangelical Protestants, and Latter-day Saints say the Bible is extremely or very important in their lives. Fewer than half of mainline Protestants and Catholics say this.

But those protestants and catholics are factually wrong, the bible is the basis for many of their beliefs.

This is one of my points: even if YOU don’t think the bible is very important in your life, someone else does, and their actions as a result are impacting your life every day.

Of course. Thats why critical thinking skills are so important.

I agree, which is partly why I find it so frustrating to talk to you. You seem capable, but your blind spots are huge and you reject reality. You pretend it’s more moral to tolerate willful ignorance than to correct it.

For some that may be the case but agnostic beliefs don’t always work that way.

Lol. Please think about it. Agnostic beliefs still drive choices, it’s ridiculous to claim otherwise.

Do you know any person at all who is completely mindless, no brain, yet still makes choices? I don’t. I don’t see how it’s possible. Our brains process our experiences into beliefs which, combined with other aspects of our biology, result in conscious or subconscious decisions and physical actions.

What do you think prompts human beings to act, if not their beliefs?

Just because it says so does not mean you have to believe it.

Sorry for repeating myself but taking a christian text literally is still very much a Protestant cult thing.

The people who told you its supposed to be literal are lying or mentally living in the dark ages.
