Hungary has described Russia as a “threat to Europe and the global order” in guidelines for its delegation attending the UN General Assembly next month, Der Spiegel reported on Aug. 26.

The move marks a dramatic shift in Hungary’s stance since Prime Minister Peter Magyar defeated the Russia-friendly Viktor Orban in elections earlier this year.

“Hungary condemns Russian military aggression and fully supports Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity within its internationally recognized borders,” the document states.

“Russia’s behavior poses a threat to Hungary, Europe, and the global order,” it adds.

They are a kind of blueprint we could follow.

Has anyone from the prior regime actually been punished? I’m not talking about committees and investigations.

Did any of the TRAITORS that COULED THE COUNTRY get punished yet?

(The actual perpetrators, not some fall guy)

Some people who were big but not the biggest got arrested, one of the top dudes tried to revolving door himself into a Chinese corp but that got torpedoed by the new gov.

There are cases running and the Office for the Protection and Reclamation of National Wealth got established a few weeks ago.

It’s moving forward I guess. You can’t really break out the guillotines because the EU does not like that.

Last I checked there was a bit of a hullabaloo about investigations taking at least 6 years before anything meaningful could be done, even for the big guns. Not sure how true that is, or if there’s a possibility of them waiting out investigations in custody.

Apparently there are dozens of us over here.

I guess we’ll see what happens, I think they backtracked because the new head of the office said that it’s the courts that will take 6 years, and then the government jumped in proposing court reform and accelerating cases.

I’m kind of hopeful but also checked out. Let’s see where we are in 2 years at the municipal and EP elections.

I personally don’t really like our EU representation (as you might have seen from my posts on the other site) but IDK who else to vote for.

The unpleasant part of justice is that due process takes time, scaling with severity and quantity of accusations and also applies to people that are, by civil accounts, obviously guilty. If we decide who it applies to, we already open the door to injustice.

For a very visible example, that’s exactly what’s happening with ICE and with Germany’s deportations recently, probably other places too that I’m not so keenly aware of, by letting them skip due process: justice is being applied unfairly. I’m sure we’re all aware of more cases.

That means that even obvious criminals require that lengthy process, and the more shit they’re accused of, the more shit has to be proven. So we sit and wait and hope that, eventually, a thoroughly assembled, heavy and solid book is thrown at them.

Finland Identifies Russia as Its Main Security Threat in New Defense Study

The Finnish Defence Forces have published a study outlining the main security risks the country could face in the coming years. The document identifies a potential Russian attack aimed at seizing Finnish territory as the primary threat … The authors also warn that Finland may face growing hybrid pressure and information influence aimed at shaping public attitudes [and highlight] the broader rivalry between the United States, China and Russia, which is expected to have an increasing impact on Finland, including in the Arctic …

The greatest threat is the US and Nato, and the decision in 2008 to expand Nato to Ukraine and Georgia. And all the bubblehead children who couldn’t think further than “Njet? Oh haha what they gonna do huh?”. A complete lack of realism and diplomacy.

Russia has trouble conquering a Nato armed Ukraine, but somehow it’s a huge threat to all of Europe combined. Make it make sense.

Let’s just follow your logic for a moment. The USA can not even keep a straight open against a non existing Navy. Why does Russia not defeating Ukraine = weak but the USA is, despite this, such a threat? Both can not be true at the same time, since the same logic applies?

Fair enough. Your logic assumes that Russia “would if they could” so they can’t. Like kidnapping the head of state of Venezuela to steal their oil. Or murdering the religious head of state of Iran and start a war that is going to lead to a oil shock that will destroy so many livelihoods sooner or later. I’m not sure about the capabilities of Russia in this regard.

So can the US conquer a country that is backed by Russia or China with massive logistic, intelligence and weapon support? No. But what they can do is continue to destabilized, coup and attack weaker countries. Like they have done since forever.

And they do this because they still see themselves as the only Hegemon on earth, the supreme indispensable nation. This continued to happen under Bush, Clinton, Bush Jr, Obama, Trump, Biden. This makes them a worse threat that Russia.

But we do know they have been relatively constrained and engaged in a “tit for tat” strategy in the escalations in Ukraine. They are overall rational actors. Like they tell Georgia to stay neutral and if they try to join Nato and put weapons on their doorstep they attack. Predictable, rational. Like the US would do if Canada or Mexico, tired of the repeated threats by Trump would ally with China and start building a Chinese military base 400 miles from Washington. Other than that, Russia has made no moves to invade European countries, instead relying on trade. They even agreed to let Ukraine join the EU as long as they stay neutral.

So the question is what they DO with the power they do have. Russia has supported various factions across the cause that opposed US imperialism obviously.

The other thing is the use of nuclear weapons. Even goddamn Marjorie Taylor Greene is worried about Trump using Nukes because the US foreign policy is now mostly dependent on the needs of the narcissistic personality of Trump. It’s one of the great taboos that must be awfully tantalizing to Trump. Besides that, you could say that the greatest threat is now Nato that continues the US hegemonic policy despite Trump. It’s really madness.

The other Threat do Europe specifically is that he normalized fascism and the current EU leaders bend over backwards to say “yes daddy” for Nato 3.0 and spending 5% of GDP into a privatized military industrial complex that will end up in the hands of US plutocrats.

Make a peace treaty with Russia and Russia treat goes back to their annoying interference in social media that we could fix by mandating to have moderators. Apparently Martin Armstrong is the guy who actually worked on the draft. If the UK and EU continues to escalate, Putin might be forced to escalate because he is facing pressure from hardliners too.

What is important to understand is that at the current moment neither the US or the EU can build enough weapons (or afford to buy them from the private military industrial complex in the future) enough counter measures to prevent air strikes like we’ve seen from Iran. Not a single EU country can currently prevent a Russian strike on their energy infrastructure, and imagine that in the climate changed fueled extra cold winter with too little energy.

Fertilizer is running low and has tripled in price. Russia has stopped exporting diesel. Europe can afford to import food - but many people in the world are going to starve in the coming years because of this. When you hear about these famines, I want you to remember: Every bite you eat, you take out of the mouths of those less affluent. And all this was preventable if the US hadn’t decided to expand Nato eastwards in 2008.

Putin is forced to do Jack shit, all he wants is to go down in history like Alexander the Great etc. aka pure imperialism with 0 regards to peoples lives.

I recently learned that it was called “realism”. Like viewing and acting in the world as it actually is. You do this, they will do that. That sort of thing.

For real. If anything, Trump has shown that he will ALWAYS HELP RUSSIA.

Milania is “Russian bride” number three and her father worked for a Russian cucked intelligence service. Trump himself released proof that Russia wanted to sabotage Joe Biden and helped Trump win. Trump has dismantled all of the DOJ and FBI units that combat Russian money laundering and Russian oligarchs. Trump sold golden visa citizenships to Russian oligarchs who he says are “very fine people”. Trump repeatedly attacks Zelensky and sabataged our weapons deliveries for political gain which helped Russia. When Putin visited Alaska, Trump had our troops ON THEIR KNEES rolling red carpet for Putin.

This is the most clear and present danger we have ever seen and an administration of the most open and flagrant TREASON BY THE NOST OBVIOUSLY COMPROMISED INDIVIDUALS.

THEY ALL NEED TO BE PUBLICLY PUNISHED NOW.

In reality though, nothing will happen except a few millionaires that we never heard of that will go to prison in 5 -10 years. All of the billionaires will be richer AND WILL DO THIS AGAIN ON ANOTHER 50 YEARS.

History repeats because of our own stupidity and it’s so stupid that we can’t just eliminate the root cause of all of this

*I should say that this doesn’t even touch on all of the OTHER corruption via Israel and corporate greed. This is just Russia’s connection with trump

There is the theory that because he was backed by these “nerd reich” plutocrats (see transcripts) he wants to deliberately sabotage and destroy the US and global economy, in order to be able to reshape the US.

But Trump is ultimately a malignant narcissist that will do everything to feed his ego. Nobody “controls” him. It’s been seen that he will often say or do what the last person who stroked his ego told him.

And he’s certainly not under the thumb of Russia, he just doesn’t give a shit unless it benefits him. He likes Russia because it normalizes the complete amorality of being an Emperor. So it’s the US establishment, the nerd reich plutocrats, the racists, and his ego that blend into the most insane kakistocracy we’ve ever seen.

I’m pretty sure Trump would love to use nukes just to break one of the greatest taboos in the world. And his followers would love him for it.

Yes. The pedophile protectors are made up of a coalition of the generational wealth nepo baby enemies in America (Trump) who teamed up with Christian Nationalists (Kirk, MTG, Miller, Carlson, etc), and the Tech bros (Thiel, Musk, Altman, Zuckerberg).

They are fracturing right now with the Christian Nationalists which is EXACTLY what we all knew would happen because they are this moment’s “brown shirts”. Hitler used them and disposed of them. They have already started branding them traitors along with us normal people.

Trump has praised the dollar crashing because they all want to move to crypto and the tech bros want a corporate fiefdoms GLOBALLY, not just in the US.

This is why everyone pretending the crash will be a normal cycle and the election will bring change are stupid. We are literally participating in a system that isn’t around anymore. It was over once they let Elon infiltrate and steal all of our most sensitive secrets and records.

The US is dead and MAGA brought about it’s death. The concetration camps and gestapo are ALREADY HERE. We can only take it back and build something new after removing the threats.

Which could be Putin’s opponents. Not all Russians work for Putin.

            To write it explicitly:

sabataged our weapons deliveries for political gain

The US still deliver weapons apart from the impossible to deliver rockets. There is no treason. The only ones who have lost in that negotiation are the Europeans who pay for all the weapons while the US got the mining rights and the profits from delivering the weapons.

That’s not treason but a big win for the US.

They picked a way a long while ago, and now picked a new one. There are democracies where these kinds of changes happen much more frequently. The only places where they “stick with it” quite likely aren’t democratic, like Russia for example.
