    There are differences in pain perception for temperature in men/women, but I’ve never seen a definitive answer on why. The most common explanation with a moderate amount of evidence is that women have typically higher amounts of insulating fat in the integumentary system.

    I don’t recall any strong studies showing differences in shower temperatures or shower lengths in men/women, but I guess I’ve never really looked into it either.
