I was being laughed at by a brit about using the microwave to boil my water. I took great offense to that and argued a bit with them. I bought a kettle because someone bought me some fancy tea and it needed the control. I’m sorry unknown brit, you were 100% right about the kettle.
Moral of the story: Always trust a brit when they’re talking about something to do with tea.

Electric kettle is best. Which is what they mostly use.
