Oh, no I understand they’re trying to continue it by saying life isn’t BDSM because it doesn’t care about consent. I think that misses the joke which starts from that premise and adds the absurdity of suggesting that maybe there is consent going on it’s just that you forgot the safe word.

I think they missed the joke because saying that there’s actually no consent is kind of removing layers from the joke, not adding a new one.
