They’re literally not getting the same information. Algorithms on socials ensure you end up in a bubble. Dissenting opinions disappear. Confirmation bias takes root. Everyone lives in a different reality with objectively different perspectives and information delivered to them. Sincerely, think you’d hold onto an ounce of sanity enduring the social media feed of someone on the opposite end of the political spectrum? People are well and truly divided at a granular individualistic level, except where overarching ideology aligns well enough, then the right falls together while the left commits to infighting over the minor disagreements.
