Epic Games recently did an AMA (Ask me anything) in the community Discord server, confirming that a Linux / SteamOS version of the Epic Games Store is coming.

HeroLauncher and their Webshop work just fine for me. I was really fine not having to use the Epic Launcher

We already have Heroic and that’s far preferable to installing any of Epic’s software on my machine.

I’d rather sit on a Lego than use that garbage launcher from that garbage company.

I don’t see it being better than Heroic Launcher.

Heroic has store fragmentation solved pretty much. Epic can’t even begin to compete with that.
