There are a few Canadian-owned registrars who also offer webhosting. For example, Web Hosting Canada supports Wordpress and Drupal, among other website software.
Imo as long as the software is FOSS it’s not a big deal if the company behind it isn’t Canadian or that great… as long as you aren’t giving that company money or data.
