Looking for an alternative website hoster & builder. Not something in USA for various reasons including southern data centres having a tendency to run their machines using fossil fuels instead of the much cleaner energy we have here in Canada.

Something easy as Wix or Squarespace.
Drupal are pretty good guys imo, but not the same easiness (cannot speak for their various hosting services).
WordPress… I get mixed opinions about being a responsible company and ease of use.
Don’t bother with WordPress… its not an easy site builder. You would still need a paid software (Elementor, DIVI, Beaver Builder, etc) to do the building.
Also, the WordPress CEO is a big poopie head.
If someone is coming from Wix, I absolutely do not recommend Drupal. Not that Drupal is bad (it’s what I prefer), but it is very, very much more involved than Wix. Wix is for simplicity. Drupal is for control.
