Title. As some of you know, I’m Macedonian. Like most Macedonians I’ve got (better to say once had) members of my family in the Yugoslav partisan forces during WW2. I also have members of my family that were refugees from the Greek civil war (as they were children at the time) (I am one half aegean Macedonian, being Macedonians who once lived in the greek region of Macedonia (I know, confusing, this is the one of the reasons for the whole name debacle)). Would like to know if anyone here has a communist lineage.

I don’t think my Nonno was an ideological fascist to be fair. My mother says he supported Mussolini because “kids had bikes and the trains ran on time.” He was apparently supposed to be a tanker in the Africa corps but the transport with the tanks was sunk and he left to Switzerland afterwards.
My mother says he didn’t kill bugs in the house, he just released them outside. I don’t know if “pacifist” is the right word due to the political connotations behind it, but he was anti ‘him doing violence’.
I’ve also got German family but they left for Poland in the early 30s then internationally in the mid to late 30s. Someone on that side was a clairvoyant I think. Also apparently my grandfather’s grandfather was a political pacifist who was drafted into the German military. He served in the band.
