Are 12 hour days with 7 day work weeks the average there?

That sounds awful and I really hope your friend gets a better job soon

        • Employers in that overall region will try to fuck you in that way, specially if you’re in an area where there aren’t that many opportunities, especially for young people. A friend of mine with 2 years experience and a masters degree can only find 6 month “internships” that barely cover rent. They’re on their 4th or 5rh internship now, because once the internship is over, they’re offered a part time position that pays roughly the same for the same hours and requires you to be on call all the time, so you can’t get a second job.

yes but since we live in a ”democracy” that isnt actually enforced by the government themselves. as a business owner you can do whatever you want, its up to the workers themselves to have the guts to report you but anti communist propaganda prevents the worker from action and alienation makes it impossible to make connections with your coworkers and organize.

im not surprised if thats the next plan and the people here will swallow it up after the government says some bullshit like ”being able to afford to live is a russian and soviet objective so we need to be more western aligned and struggle more”
